We recently connected with Rhonda McTyre and have shared our conversation below.
Rhonda, appreciate you joining us today. Do you have an agent or someone (or a team) that helps you secure opportunities and compensation for your creative work? How did you meet you, why did you decide to work with them, why do you think they decided to work with you?
Signing with some of the top modeling agencies is hard. You don’t fit certain standard, height , weights. The worst one someone told me “ you’re not what this agency prefer”. Since I started as a free lance plus size model it’s opened a multitude of doors. When certain people see your passionate about where you want to go in life. You meet people who is able to help build you along the way. Lesson one: Be Teachable and lesson 2 learn how to say no to things if it doesn’t line up with your brand.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My faithfulness ; being in this type of industry as a public figure you get hit with some so many closed doors and challenges , but I’ve learned through my time frame is to keep going! Each time you get a “no” or “yes” it’s called elevation. You continue to elevate yourself everyday and as you elevate yourself , your elevating another person as well. My goal in life is to be a barrier breaker or game changer.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding one is watching others go after what seem was impossible to possible.
