We were lucky to catch up with Reyna Martinez recently and have shared our conversation below.
Reyna, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What was the most important lesson/experience you had in a job that has helped you in your professional career?
To respect everybody even if sometimes people are rude to you, never engage in an argument with a person for who I am their interpreter. Always inform the client what’s going on the call.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Since I was in Monterrey, Mexico back 1996 I went to the National School of Arts for 3 year while I was in high school where all the classes, I took there Classic dance, ballet, Traditional Folkloric dance, music , arts and crafts also theatrical classes. After that I started studying production for Radio and Television and cinema at the school of the local television station in Monterrey , Canal 2 of televisa for 2 years. I participated in 2 musicals and one city parade back in 2000. I did my internship in tv station Canal 28 . During that time I learned how to get around that industry, made several short films with a small crew and visited several great cities close to Monterrey Mexico. I perform in several theaters with the musical group La Nueva Generacion under the direction of Juan Ramon.

Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?
To keep pursuing your dream, never let any comments of others hurt you…because that is what they think and that is not my responsibility.
Make every issue into a challenge with a time frame.
Make the uncomfortable into the pathway.

Do you think you’d choose a different profession or specialty if you were starting now?
Yes, indeed. That’s what made a difference in my life, I have acquired knowledge, that the 90 percent of ordinary people don’t have. And this knowledge it been shared in my family.
