I’m Rese Clifton, Founder and CEO of Perseverance Vitamins and Perseverance Life. My journey into this industry began with a deep passion for guiding personal and professional growth and evolution.I have 2 companies bottled up into 1 core belief, which is to keep going. It’s ok to take a break, it’s ok to move in a more aligned direction, but we must Persevere.
Perseverance Vitamins is my supplement company created to enhance mental clarity and physical vitality. Our products, such as Sunrise, is for anxiety relief and brain fog, and PURE is for gut health. They’re meticulously crafted to support your resilience and well-being. We currently have 5 products.
At Perseverance Life, we specialize in holistic wellness, encompassing identity work, and professional+personal development. We offer a range of executive and therapeutic services led by experts like Crystal Isom (licensed therapist) focusing on each persons needs individually. Some of our clients come in for executive coaching, professional harmony but may have experienced trauma or hostile work environments and require a little extra care that our therapist can provide, which may be outside of our coaches scope. Our mission is to create a nurturing space where individuals and organizations—whether nonprofits, corporations, or entrepreneurs—can find harmony and thrive.
What sets us apart is our dedication to personalized care and growth. Whether you’re navigating personal challenges or seeking professional clarity, we provide tailored solutions that empower you to achieve balance, meet your goals and your version of success.
I’m very proud to have fostered a community where personal and professional evolution are celebrated equally.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
One pivotal moment in my career came when I realized that true transformation within organizations wasn’t just about systems and processes—it was about empowering leadership and fostering harmony. In 2013, I founded my first company, Jetsetter Consultants, with a focus on project management and operations. However, I soon discovered that the core challenges often stemmed from leadership dynamics rather than operational structures. The operations was the easy part, but people, connecting, and guiding would often be the missing link to the sustainability of a company.
Despite manages and executives dedicating extensive hours each month to crafting robust systems. Failure in self awareness, company cultural and team moral made recurring issues within organizations. There would be a new problem but the root of the reason would often be the same – failure to connect and communicate.
This experience prompted a profound realization: sustainable success hinges on empowering leaders to align their vision with their team and operational excellence.
This insight fueled my decision to pivot my career focus. I transitioned towards working directly with executives, CEOs, and leadership teams, helping them cultivate harmony and purpose within their organizations. I had a skill set in analyzing structural needs but I integrated my gift of listening, asking probing questions, conflict resolution, transparency and accountability to help individuals meet their needs and the needs of the people that relied on them – their teams.
This pivot wasn’t just a professional shift; it was a pursuit of personal fulfillment. I wanted to do more of what I love—supporting individuals in achieving their goals in a way that brings them joy and alignment. In a way that is true to them!
Today, through Perseverance Vitamins and Perseverance Life, I continue to embody this mission of empowerment. I am committed to helping leaders navigate challenges, foster resilience, and ultimately, lead with authenticity and harmony.
Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
Managing teams effectively isn’t just about logistics—it’s about nurturing a culture where every member feels valued and empowered. In my experience with supporting 6-8 figure businesses, maintaining high morale is a cornerstone of our success. Here are my top tips, especially relevant post-COVID, while ensuring the integrity of the company remains paramount: Here are my top 3 for managing a team no matter the business/industry.
1. Clear Communication: Foster trust and alignment through transparent communication. Ensure everyone understands their roles and contributions, keeping channels open for feedback and celebration.
2. Empowerment through Purpose: Connect team members to the company’s mission and vision. When individuals see the impact of their work, they feel motivated and valued.
3. Flexibility and Support: Post-COVID, prioritize flexibility. Accommodate individual needs while maintaining productivity. Support team members through mentorship, professional development, and wellness initiatives.
By prioritizing clear communication, empowerment through purpose, and flexibility with support, you can build a resilient and motivated team while adapting to new challenges.
