Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to ReRe . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi ReRe, thanks for joining us today. Do you have a hero? What have you learned from them?
My hero is my mother. I have seen her struggle, work extremely hard, and also be used and taken advantage of by others. Throughout her years on this earth and everything she’s gone through, She has always been a strong and faithful servant of God, no matter what -she always kept faith and made things happen regardless.
I’ve heard her secret prayers when she didn’t know I was in the room. I have also seen her wipe away tears when she didn’t know I was looking. Through everything she remained strong.
My mother was single, raising 4 children. With the weight of paying bills, Maintaining the household, And cooking after a long day of work, she always kept going.
Even though she was tired she would still take time to personally pour into each one of us.
Never did she let her circumstances or her hurts and pains dictate how she treated us or any other person. She was always full of smiles and eagerly willing to help anyone she could. I have seen her continuously give -even when she didn’t have it to give.
My mother was really big on making sure to let us know how proud of us she was and how much she loved us. She always pushed us to reach deep within Ourselves and go after everything we wanted. Any and every idea we had, if we voiced it to her she was immediately researching and mapping the plan to get it started.
My mother never wanted us to settle For ANYTHING in life!
It is because of her my drive is as strong as it is.
It is because of her I go after everything I desire.
It is because of her I have achieved the things I have achieved today.
It is because of her I feel like I can’t be stopped.
It is because of her I KNOW I won’t be stopped!
My mother taught me to be a fighter. She taught me -a door closed is only a detour not a dead end.
Everything I do, I do in honor of her. Because I know she is smiling down on me, and shaking her fist! (you’d have to know her to know this lol).
When I am feeling discouraged, I feel her comforting me, telling me to get up and keep going.
I know she is still pushing me.
I know failure is not an option.
I know giving up is not allowed because she NEVER did.
