Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Reonda Thompson . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Reonda , thanks for joining us today. Let’s jump right into how you came up with the idea?
During the summer of 2020, I was unemployed and looking for new ways to make money. I was at a crossroads, and was very discouraged.
The pandemic had many people,, myself included looking for new, unconventional ways to do things.
I decided that I would start a poetry writing service. By doing this, I could use my talent, and share my gift with others.
I didn’t know if the idea would work, but I wanted to try.
This isn’t an easy business, and I don’t have regular customers. I keep trying though, because I believe in myself.
I write often, put ads in magazines for clients, spread the work to friends, family, coworkers, and strangers alike.
My first client came from a guy who wanted a poem for his girlfriend. I asked him, “Can you tell me about her?” From there I was able to write the perfect poem.
I take a person’s personality, emotions, and put it in the poem.
This endeavor is worth it, because I was born to write, I’m passionate, and nothing good is ever easy!
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
