Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Renee Youngblood. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Renee thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to go back in time and hear the story of how you came up with the name of your brand?
Leecy’s Daughters is solely based from my mother whome passed away over 20 years ago. My mother was such a given and hardworking person that my sister and I knew that our business/company had to be named in her honor.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My story is like so many others, I was raised by a young single money that worked very hard for everything she set out to do. I’m a woman of the arts; a retired modern, ballet dancer. I’m a writer/author in which I published my first children’s book in 2020 and currently working on my second book geared around love. I believe in being a person of substance and good character and my life has truly set me up to either be the best person I can be or give in to the troubles of the world and be a not so good person. With that I live my life striving to be a good person. I believe that our purpose in life is to be of purpose to others and give back as much as we can. With me having that mindset is to why I wanted to do Life Coaching and anything that revolved around wellness and uplifting of a person energy and spirit. I believe that as long as you’re breathing you’re capable of learning something new. You are your brand and how you show up and carry yourself is a reflection on your brand, your business and overall your legacy. My sister and I wanted to reflect all of those characteristics into our business in which we created Leecy’s Daughters.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Word of mouth, people that I meet and speak with tells someone else about Leecy’s Daughters and the next thing I know we have multiple people reaching out to connect with us. Word a mouth is the first marketing strategy and then social media.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
A hard lesson for me that I had to unlearn, was going into any situation with fear and already setting myself up for disappointment. I had to understand that positive thinking gives positive results and that negative thinking will ultimately give you negative results. I would automatically not want to try to hard because I already felt like it’s not going to work or I’m not going to get the actual outcome that I’m hoping for. In time I became more confident in myself and I had and have a village of positive people that are in my corner. I think it’s important to have people in your corner you can trust and help motivate you to be the best version of yourself.
