Renee, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear about the things you feel your parents did right and how those things have impacted your career and life.
Shout out to my parents! I am so grateful to have a family that supports me through it all. My mother, Rachel was a single parent of three children. My biological father, Charles has always been present but has lived in different states while I was growing up. A lot of my gentle, fun and kind nature is definitely streamlined from him. My step father, Hutch came into my life around age ten and has been very present in my world ever since. I have great genes. I can’t say it enough!!! I love my make and model. I am a Libra with two Scorpio parents. If you know anything about that side of the spiritual world you know thats special.
Pretty much my whole family was in the military. When I was younger my grandparents lived with my family before my step father came into the picture. Honestly, such a blessing for them to help out while my mom toured and worked. I have the most special relationship with my grandparents. I am part who I am because of them.
I was raised with an immense amount of love, encouragement and trust. I also did not come from money. My family was a hard working middle class family that has grown so much with a strong foundation. They taught me to work hard for everything I want. They would support me financially as much as they could and 1000% emotionally. Never once did they discourage me. If something was out of my reach they let me run and get it. I always got it.
Overall, what my parents did right in my world is love me unconditionally, supported and encourage me, helped me reach higher to chase my business creative dreams and communicated with me. There are obstacles in the world that we can overcome but no limits. We deserve to live our best story and I am here living it everyday.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I am a multifaceted woman. I am first and foremost a networker to the core. I am generally overwhelmed by humans and prefer to be alone or exclusively enjoying life with my friends and family. BUT if the vibe and energy is right I will be the most chatty person in the room. It’s an oxymoron. I love to meet new humans but will be the first to hide in my house or studio shutting the world off. This is also just me protecting my energy and holding strong boundaries for myself.
I have had a long line of work in my life. I have bartended and had the best times in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. I have been a part owner of a sustainable clothing company. I have created jewelry and held workshops. Currently, I work for myself as NeNe Wright. I have been working for myself and collaborating with others for almost ten years. Under the NeNe Wright umbrella I work in partnerships/sponsorships for events & festivals. I am a booking assistant for Lunar Desk Management. LDM has a wide range of services: Brand/Artists partnerships, event curations/collaborations, event partnerships, talent management, bookings and more. I collaborate and curate events. I am in marketing and consulting. I get called in locally or nationwide for so many projects. You name it. I have been inspired by my cousin Dre. She is top 40 under 40, tech queen, musical creator and producer. Dre is also a multifaceted woman. She taught me that no one has to understand the way you operate and why you have your hands in so many projects. It is all connected to our end goals. The only one that has to understand is me.
Lastly, I am someone that loves to gas up the people that deserve it. The world is full of talented and creative beings. So many people need access to more platforms to showcase the cool projects they’re working on or their interesting life in general. That is why I am starting my podcast here in the near future to showcase the badass humans in my network, the badass humans I want to meet and interesting topics/situations the world presents us. We really out here doing the best we can trying to survive, create and provide the good in the world.

In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?
I think what society can do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem is to BOOK MORE WOMEN, find it in your heart to accept others besides the white male, create a more diverse and inclusive space and work on being aware of your surroundings, life and others. Awareness is one of the keys to life and so many just don’t get it.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My creative journey is driven by my passion for anything related to the creative business world. Art generally makes people happy, it provides culture and diversity, its history and a story. Art is an expression. If more humans expressed themselves through art where would the world be today? Art generates a feeling, opinion and questions. More people need to experience question and wonder in their world. Get the gears turning in their head instead of staring at a phone all day.
In the end of the day, I want to have my slice on a lake with a his and her studio (my boyfriend is also a creative individual). A space where anyone I choose to visit can express themselves freely, feel comforted and soak up the Ne vibes radiating from the space.
