We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Renee White a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Renee thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
Royal Creations Hair wants to enhance the way you wear your crown. I want everyone to have a place they can come to and help them feel better about themselves and recognize their beauty. Weather you want to rock your natural or pick up some hair extensions or makeup we got you covered. Also wanting to give back to the community by expanding and showing others that no matter how you look or where you come from in life, you are something great and can achieve whatever you put your mind to.
Renee, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Renee White and I started my brand Royal creations hair in 2013. I was a freshman in college and I went to school for business. At the time of me starting my business, I just started it for fun and to make a little extra money to pay my bills. Over the past 8 years my business has grown and have taken me many places. My business started out just selling hair extensions but I have recently expanded into selling hair, lashes, makeup, hair products and so much more.
My most recent and proudest accomplishment thus far is opening up my first storefront beauty supply + salon. The grand opening will be on July 9, 2022.
How did you build your audience on social media?
Building your audience on social media can be a struggle, but in todays day and age it’s the best way to grow. Social media holds power. I’m still learning different ways to grow but the number 1 lesson is staying consistent. Posting multiple times throughout the week to stay at your customers top of mind. Also you have to stay with the trends. Don’t be afraid to try new things and step out of your comfort zone.
Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
My customer service has always been at the top of my priority list. As a small business you have to let your customers know how much you appreciate them so that they can keep coming back. The way I keep up with my customers is sending out special deals and coupons just for them, thanking them with every purchase, and even reposting them on my social media pages. When you show your customers that they are valued, they’ll end up doing your promoting for you.
