We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Renee Peoples a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Renee, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Are you able to earn a full-time living from your creative work? If so, can you walk us through your journey and how you made it happen?

Fortunately, we have successfully pursued our passions while building a fulfilling family life. Despite facing adversity and skepticism from others, we remained steadfast in our goals. This journey, marked by both triumphs and challenges, has taught us the importance of self-belief and perseverance. Balancing family life with our aspirations has been demanding, yet rewarding. We believe that this gradual process was essential for our growth and ultimate success.

Renee, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

For those unfamiliar with our story, let us introduce ourselves: We are Renee Peoples and Bobby Peoples, a dynamic duo in the entertainment industry. We’ve been working together for 18 years, merging our talents and passion to create impactful films. Our journey began when we got married, and Bobby decided to dissolve his solo film company to form a new one that we both own and operate. My (Renee’s) journey in the arts started in theater when I was just 15 years old, while Bobby embarked on his filmmaking career in 2001. Together, we’ve built a collaborative legacy that blends our individual strengths into a shared vision.

We are most proud of our extensive catalog of movies and the incredible journey we’ve taken to get here. People often only see the finished product, unaware of the many obstacles we’ve had to overcome both in business and in our personal lives. As a blended family with seven children—five boys, two girls—and two grandchildren, our lives are busy and full, which reflects the dedication and hard work we pour into our projects. Our films are available on several different platforms, showcasing our versatility and reach. One of our proudest accomplishments is giving new actors their first speaking roles and watching them flourish in this industry. We want our clients, followers, and fans to know that our work is a labor of love, driven by passion and resilience, and that we are committed to nurturing new talent and creating impactful stories.

For the past 18 years, Bobby and I have been a team both personally and professionally, bringing a unique dynamic to our work. Our dedication to each project, combined with our shared vision and complementary skills, allows us to create films that resonate deeply with our audience. We’ve built a reputation for reliability and creativity, always pushing the boundaries while staying true to our artistic roots. This steadfast approach not only sets us apart but also drives our continued success in the industry.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?

That everyone’s journey is not the same. We all have to walk our own path and stay true to our own visions and not what others have envision for us.

How did you build your audience on social media?

We stay active with out social media pages so that make people feel like they know us and give us the edge to want to see our work.
