I first learned How to take a picture when I was in high school I took a photography class and that sparked an interesting way of expressing my arte I did as a graffiti artist. I could have Taken more photography classes in a university setting to learn more ways about expressing my interest in being a more professional photographer. I believe everyone Learning how to develop my professional skills as a photographer who is essential and crucial to be able to explain the Arte, I was creating with my camera. There are always gonna be obstacles, but nothing really stood in the way of me learning more I just wasn’t 100% sure what I wanted to do with life. I always knew being a photographer was a fun and expressive way of creating arte in a different style. as I got older, I realized capture any moment in time with a camera was a very crucial and artistic style of arte..

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Rene Jose “PoetKing” Rodriguez JR. Born in 1975 raised in the 80s wild out in the 90s and still Kicking today in 2023. My passion for art comes from being raised in the era where graffiti was frowned upon, but the colors stood out on the walls as a youth I always went roaming in the night with the older homies and wanted to get my name up on the walls also took pictures with my disposable Kodak camera. I found taking pictures of the art on the wall was a way of showing off my Arte. Growing up and showing passionate ways to create Arte I started to notice that I could take a flick and brighten up colors, but it wasn’t for everyone as I saw it adding something different to the Arte on the wall, to me it was our Chicano way of life. Being Chicano to me was a way of Nuestro cultura living through us our heritage our sangre was creating Arte with what the world provided for us! I now enjoy taking pictures of people and showing a new style of Arte that I create with my camera. I believe that I am bridging the worlds together with lowrider’s, graffiti writers and models and abstract Arte to a new level of high fashion from all aspects of life…… I’m not imitating I am innovating my style of Arte using a camera and being Chicano allows me to show a different stylio of our cultura . I’ve been blessed with being able to take pictures every shoot I do just proves that life is what we create it to be…. So if you see me taking pictures rest assure, I’m living life to its fullest.
