We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Renae Madore a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Renae, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
It was about 20 years ago when I decided to pursue my creative passion. When I started wearing the jewelry that I created, everyone loved it and wanted to buy it..
I am very passionate about my jewelry. The imaginative and intricate effort needed to create each piece is very therapeutic and it wonderful way to express myself.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I learned how to make jewelry from a friend in Los Angeles, who would go to the Jewelry District in downtown LA to purchase her product and make her pieces. I fell in love with the process.
The gratification I receive seeing my pieces worn with as much pride and enjoyment as I’ve had creating them and how each piece I designed accents and complements their sense of style – is bliss.

Are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
I wish I had more access to online training. I was self taught, but I am now finding great YouTube videos that has allowed me to expand my artistic creativity.

Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
