I knew ever since I was a little boy. My father is a musician, and growing up we always had a studio setup at home. So I would watch him, record his artists and make their music, but he only let me watch. “Or so I thought” when he wasn’t home, I would sneak in there , and jam out, make my own music, and dream of having the world jamming out to my creations.

Meet Highbros, a trailblazing music producer whose exceptional talent and innovative vision have been instrumental in shaping the modern music landscape. Born to immigrant parents from Laos and raised in Dallas Texas, Highbros exhibited an innate affinity for music from an early age. His father is a musician and has produce hundreds of Lao songs. So growing up he was always, surrounded by diverse musical influences, from Mor Lam “Laos traditional music” to pulsating electronic beats. Fuelled by curiosity and a genuine love for the art form, Highbros immersed themselves in the world of music, absorbing every sound and rhythm that crossed their path.

Emergence as a Producer:
As Highbros’s fascination with music deepened, so did their desire to contribute to its creation. Equipped with an unyielding determination, they began experimenting with various music production hardware back in late 90s, then to software and honing their skills as a producer. Absolutely, as a music producer, there are several aspects of my journey as a creative that non-creatives might find challenging to comprehend fully. These insights can shed light on the intricacies of the creative process and provide a deeper understanding of the creative mind: * Emotional Investment: Creating music involves pouring my heart and soul into each composition. The emotional investment is profound, and non-creatives might not grasp the intensity of these feelings. Every piece of music is an extension of myself, and it can be both rewarding and emotionally draining at times.
* Iterative Nature: The creative process is rarely a linear path. Non-creatives might struggle to understand the countless revisions, experimentation, and evolution that a piece of music undergoes before reaching its final form. Embracing this iterative nature is crucial to achieving greatness as a music producer.
* Vulnerability and Self-Doubt: Being vulnerable and open to criticism is an integral part of the creative journey. Non-creatives may not realize the constant battle with self-doubt and the courage required to share one’s artistic expression with the world. Accepting constructive feedback is essential for growth, even though it can be challenging.
