We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Remember We Die. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Remember We Die below.
Alright, Remember We Die thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
Our desire to pursue music professionally didn’t come from a single moment; it was always part of who we are. Music felt as natural as breathing, influencing our lives from the very start. As kids, we’d pick up anything that resembled a guitar, playing along with legends like Slash and Eddie Van Halen, and belting out songs with the same intensity as Lzzy Hale and Maria Brink. We dreamed of being on that stage ourselves, pouring our hearts into every note.
Music wasn’t just something we listened to; it was our escape and our therapy, helping us navigate life when words fell short. Early on, we realized we wanted to be the ones offering that same connection, validation, and inspiration to others.
This desire to share the joy, love, anger, and heartache through our music became our driving force. It was never about chasing fame; it was about creating something real and meaningful. No other path calls to us as strongly as music does. It’s not just what we do; it’s who we are. Now, we’re living that dream, hoping to inspire others the way music has always inspired us.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
We are Remember We Die, a high-energy, queer female-fronted rock band hailing from the metro Atlanta area. Our sound blends the essence of classic ’80s rock with a modern twist, featuring explosive riffs and vocals that will blow you away. But beneath our fierce exterior lies a softer side, showcasing the full emotional spectrum of Rock ‘n’ Roll.
We met as concertgoers two years ago, instantly connecting through our shared passion for music and the vibrant community that surrounds it. While we each followed our own musical journeys, coming together felt like everything clicked into place. Isaac electrifies the crowd with his stunning solos, Emma drives the rhythm with her dynamic drumming, Caleb lays down thunderous bass lines, and Storm transitions effortlessly between clean and growled vocals, creating a raw, emotional experience that lingers long after the show.
Currently, we’re hard at work in the studio recording our debut EP, and we can’t wait to share it with you. Our shows are more than just performances—they’re experiences that invite you to live in the moment. After all, we believe in embracing life fully, because in the end, Remember We Die.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
For us, the most rewarding part of being musicians isn’t just the act of playing music—it’s seeing how our music impacts people. Music has always been a part of who we are, so just being able to pursue it feels like living our truth. When we see how our songs resonate with others, that’s when it becomes truly special.
So many moments come to mind. Our lead singer wrote a song as a tribute to a family member, which became a source of healing for her family during their grief. At one of our shows, two little girls danced and sang along to our set, then approached us afterward to say we inspired them to pursue music. That was a powerful reminder of why we do this. Our bassist’s son is learning all of our songs and dreams of starting his own band. During a recording session, our engineer’s daughter and her friends wrote a song and filmed a music video after watching us record.
Moments like these are why we do what we do. It’s not just about making music we love; it’s about inspiring others the way our heroes inspired us. Seeing that spark in someone else because of what we created—that’s the most rewarding part of all.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
Remember We Die is committed to fostering deep emotional connections with our listeners. At the heart of our creative journey, we hope to inspire and help others through tough times. We know that the journey of life can often feel isolating, and our goal is to remind everyone that they are never alone. Each of us has a story, and by sharing ours, we aim to build a community that supports one another.
Music has always been our refuge, and we want to provide that same escape for others. Through our songs, we strive to create a safe space where people can feel seen and understood—a place to release their emotions and find strength. If we can be that light in someone’s darkness, or even just a soundtrack to their journey, then we’re fulfilling our mission.
