Rela, thank you so much for joining us today. We’d love for you to bring our readers up to speed – can you introduce yourself and share your story?
I am a union makeup artist in local 706. Emmy®️ Nominated CSI NY
I’ve been in the business for over 30 years. Started out in SF, doing editorial and traveled all over Europe. Which took me to LA and the film industry. My journey is still unfolding. I consider myself a creative mind.
Please talk to us about your creative work and career. What should we know?
I consider myself a creative mind. I have been a union journeyman makeup artist (department head) for 25 years. I have been doing Beauty and grooming for women men. I do Fx and fantasy makeup. I enjoy many modalities of art I have a website https://www.relamartine.com/
Kristine Bautista and The Sacred Sisters have been great to us and I know you’ve got a great relationship with them as well. Maybe you can tell our audience a bit about Kristine Bautista and The Sacred Sisters and your experience with them.
We first met in the film industry. Kristine and I have worked together on many projects in the makeup and hair dept.. Kristine is first and foremost a compassionate and caring individual. Our energy meshed in a very calm and special way. I knew she was a sister energetically right away. We didn’t talked about the healing arts till later. In our world of film we touch people up she doing their hair and I doing makeup. Within that space you want to clear your energy so that clients can get ready for the day. I noticed Kristine was doing this. It opened us up to talk on a deeper level. Being creative is so important on all levels especially within your heart space. I can talk to Kristine easily because she lives her life with intention and so do I. She lives in her authenticity which I have always loved. I have been to a soundbath she did and felt loved. It’s was in a beautiful setting. Crystal singing bowls and gong. She led us through a wonderful kundalini activation guided meditation with lots of intention.
