We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Reginald “EZ” Ward Jr. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Reginald “EZ” below.
Reginald “EZ”, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Has your work ever been misunderstood or mischaracterized?
Have you ever felt like you don’t fit in? Have you ever had a feeling that you were meant for much more than what your environment offered? Growing up, I always had this special feeling that I was meant for more and destined for something that, even to this day, I have yet to achieve. Let me take you on a journey. As a child, I was diagnosed with a speech impediment; I used to stutter, and at one point, it was so bad that I couldn’t even say my full name without fumbling over my words. On one hand, I stuttered, but on the other, I always had an extreme level of courage and boldness, taking risks and doing things others wouldn’t.
One particular story sticks out to me from my childhood. One Sunday at church, during the children and youth portion of the service, I volunteered to recite a verse. While saying the verse, I stuttered, but I kept pushing through and said the entire verse. After completing it, I received a standing ovation. That experience taught me that even when we don’t think we have ‘enough,’ we have to push through anyway because there are people counting on our resilience to help them get through their situations.
I’m writing this to anyone out there who feels unqualified or believes that what they have is not good enough. I’m here to encourage you: even if you feel misunderstood, that’s okay because it means you’re set apart. It took courage, even in moments of weakness, for me to realize that though I’m different, I’m uniquely gifted. Once I realized how unique I was, I was able to embrace my differences and embrace being misunderstood.

Reginald “EZ”, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I was unofficially submerged into the industry at a young age. Around 6 years old, I was called to read a scripture at church. During elementary school, I served as the classroom anchor for our newscast, and in middle school, I hosted a sports show. As time went on, I was elected class president, chaplain of the SGA, and captain of the football team. During my undergraduate years, I had the opportunity to intern at Radio One, A Different View, and News One Now with Roland Martin. All of these experiences played a pivotal role in my development.
In 2018, I launched the “Game of Faith” podcast, where I share stories of young adults who have identified and are living out their God-given purpose. The podcast also offers insights on navigating young adulthood in today’s world. In 2020, I established Moore Faith LLC at the height of the pandemic. The mission was to give a voice to the voiceless, build community, and share diverse experiences.
I’m most proud of operating fully in my purpose. The work I do is meaningful, inspirational, and motivating. I’ve vowed to stay true to myself; what you see on camera is a day-to-day reflection of who I am.
At my core, I am a communicator specializing in public speaking, hosting, teaching, and facilitating impactful conversations. What sets me apart are my practicality, relatability, empathy, and ability to meet my audience where they are. I take joy in helping people be confident in who God has called them to be.
In January 2024, I created a platform called “EZ Talks” with the intent to share practical insight and wisdom, and to provide tools for inspiration and transformation. My goal is for people to leave feeling empowered to walk in their God-given purpose and destiny.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding part of being an artist is allowing God to creatively flow through me. I’ve been blessed with multifaceted gifts, and I serve as a mouthpiece for God on Earth. In closing, it doesn’t matter what setting I’m in; I’ll always be the muse, and God is the ultimate creator.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
Yes, there’s a mission that drives my creative journey; I’d like to get out everything that God has in me. Ultimately, I only want to see how far I was meant to go.
