We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Reginald Benoit. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Reginald below.
Reginald, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
I took a risk on me being a Dj and turning this into a career. I wasn’t sure if I would be successful I left college left a good job just to pursue my career. I took this risk because I love Djing and entertaining and i am so happy that I took that risk. Today I have a successful DJ career and i have gone on to do radio and create my own radio station and podcasting studio.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I got into djing thru my brothers they were djs in Miami and i would take the Tri-Rail to go see them and the would show me how to Dj with vinyl. I got bit by the Dj bug and was hooked. I linked up with a group of Djs called Dem Damn Dogs and they helped shape my Dj style and even let me get on their underground radio station which just made my appetite grow even more for djing and now radio. I am proud of the career and business that i have created for more myself. My clients are always statisfied and it is a great feeling to hear and see that.
Do you think there is something that non-creatives might struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can shed some light?
I feel that people that are not in my field don’t take Dj’s and Djing serious. They don’t respect the time we put in to make sure their event or party is great the money we spend and so much more.

Are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
I definitely wish i knew more about branding.
