Growing up in the shadow of domestic violence can cast a long and haunting shadow. My siblings and I found ourselves navigating through the disorder, seeking refuge and understanding amidst the chaos that surrounded us. It was within this tumultuous environment that my mother, with unwavering strength, began instilling the seeds of order in our lives.
