We recently connected with Regenia Harrell and have shared our conversation below.

Regenia, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s talk legacy – what sort of legacy do you hope to build?

As a legacy builder, I always wanted to leave something behind and that is to Evolve, to Emerge, and to Empower. I hope that my legacy will teach people the value of self-care, relationship building, healing through other’s testimonies, and supporting local business owners around them. I encourage people not to be the product of their environment, but to be the change. M’BRACE Magazine’s mission is to Empower others to Embrace life as it comes the good and the bad, because the bad helps to create who we are today.

Regenia, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

I am Regenia Harrell, a Radio Personality known as the Motivational Strategist on my Radio Broadcast. I am an Author, Magazine Publisher, and a Podcaster. Motivational Strategist is another way of saying Life Coach. I get to exercise my gifts through my radio talk shows and my magazines. I love to keep people uplifted and to give them an opportunity to tell others about their business, events, or tell their story. My brand M’BRACE is Evolving, Emerging and Empowering others to grow and to stay connected.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.

This year has been one of the hardest years I had in a long time. All in all this year started with me being sick around the same time I started my magazine. 3 weeks after starting the magazine, I had a mini stroke. I had a hard time with writing because the right side of my body was very weak. I had to go through physical therapy and occupational therapy just to get where I needed to be for over 6 weeks. Through it all my magazine was still being created on my hospital bed. That’s when I knew this was my passion.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

The most rewarding aspect of being an creator of a magazine or a radio personality, is the fact that people are actually listening and reading my product. I run into a lot of people who lets me know that they love hearing the show or reading my magazine articles. People like to feel included and they always feel included in my radio shows or my magazine articles. People encourage me to keep doing what I do because it helps them. That is a mission that I want to accomplish, and that is to meet people where they are.
