Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Regan Purnell. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Regan, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s kick things off with a hypothetical question – if it were up to you, what would you change about the school or education system to better prepare students for a more fulfilling life and career?

If I could change anything about our education system I would bring back Home Ec classes. I feel like a lot of kids do not know how to be self sufficient anymore and are struggling once they are no longer living with their parents. I am thankful that I had parents that taught me to be independent!

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I’m 20 years old from Rockwall, Texas! After getting my associates degree in science I decided I wanted to go another direction and go to cosmetology school! I have always been interested in lashes and hair. I have been licensed for a year now and am working on building my clientele! When I am not at work I love spending time with my dog Missy and hanging out with my family!

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

Growing up in Rockwall has definitely helped me grow my clientele ! I see a lot of familiar faces in the salon.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?

As much as I struggle with social media, it has brought so many new clients in that I would never have ran into in person!
