We were lucky to catch up with Red Fajardo recently and have shared our conversation below.
Red, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What do you think it takes to be successful?
Success is that word we always want to hear and want to achieve — you as an infant you want to successfully walk, you as a child you want to successfully learn new words and be good at math, you as a teenager you want to successfully do good in school and make friends, you as an adult you would like to be successful in your career, goals in life and have a family on your own and you as an elderly, you would want to look back at your life and say, “Hey, I successfully made it here”. In any generation and every phase of our lives, we go through challenges along the way. What it takes to be successful are these two words: Hardwork & Faith. That’s the perfect duo, it takes those two words to tango in order for you to move forward in life and achieve things. Success cannot be picked up like a piece of candy on the floor, it takes blood, sweat, trust in yourself and faith that there’s always a rainbow after every storm — a pot of gold at the end of the dark tunnel, and that’s what you call success.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Food is my love language — I adore hearing that word not only that it satisfies my hunger and tastebuds, but emotionally it gets my mood pumped up. Imagine a car that needs gas to get going to different cities, food does that by fueling up my bloodstream and nerves that makes me physically energized the whole day. It is the best way to increase my dopamine levels — food is necessity, a basic need and it makes me or actually anyone happy. That’s how I become a food blogger, my passion towards food is what I wanted to share with everybody. As food is served to me, I take pictures, delightfully I eat it and share my thoughts and pictures with everyone about my food experience. I enjoy being in this industry, I enjoy being in this business and I will continue doing this for the rest of my life.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
I call myself a goal digger, when I achieve a certain goal in life, I dig for another goal and that’s the cycle that keeps me going in life. I love learning and I myself is very open to learn new things outside my comfort zone. In between I make sure to go take breaks like go on vacations which I do love, spend time with my family & friends, have a proper workout and trying new hobbies — life is about balancing and knowing your priorities. We make mistakes, but we learn from it and stay stronger. My mission for my food blogging is to continue sharing my passion for food and influence people, help small & local businesses and most importantly, just have fun and enjoy the ride.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
By sharing my love and passion for food, from the bottom of my heart seeing people loving and respecting what I do in food blogging makes me very happy. That to me is the most rewarding I will ever receive that drives and motivates me more doing what I passionately love and being in this business. It feels 100% good!
