We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Rebelle. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Rebelle below.
Rebelle, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
My latest single TABOO. It came out a few weeks ago, and it’s out on all platforms!
It is a deeply personal song because I wrote it about a toxic-relationship-experience. My partner made me think I was the problem—that every issue in the relationship was my fault. Even the smallest bits would be a huge problem, and a reason to fight and yell. I kept changing myself, believing if I could just be better, we could go back to the way things were. But that’s how manipulation works.
The more I tried to fix myself, the more I lost who I was. The relationship became something I had to hide—like a taboo, something we do not talk about—because I felt ashamed that it wasn’t perfect and couldn’t admit it to anyone. “TABOO” is about coming to terms with that realization, finally seeing that I wasn’t the problem, and knowing I needed to break free from the cycle of blame and emotional control.
Musically, “TABOO” is a dance/disco tune, because I want my music to bring comfort not only through the lyrics but through the energy of the beat itself. Dance, adrenaline, and rhythm are some of the best ways to feel de-stressed and happy. They help you shake off the bad emotions and release the pain from your body, so I want listeners to feel that surge of power and freedom while they move to the music.
I wrote “TABOO” for anyone who’s ever been in a toxic relationship, so they could learn from my mistakes and know they’re not alone, because I’m a Gen Zer, and Gen Z is not afraid to speak up about what’s real. We’re the generation that talks openly about mental health, toxic love, and the pain we carry. “TABOO” is a reminder that we don’t have to stay silent or hide behind the idea of “perfect” relationships (or anything else). It’s time to stop romanticizing toxic love and recognize when it’s time to break free.
If you’ve ever felt manipulated, controlled, or blamed, dedicate this song to your abusive ex. “TABOO” is for anyone who’s felt trapped, hurt, and is ready to take their power back. So, listen to it, dance to it, scream it out, and let it remind you of your worth.
Thank you LUPO, Charlie Lo Presti, and Phil Lo Presti for helping me this project come to life.
Other than that, I just had my first mini-tour that consisted of 4 big concerts, and the last two to come on October 12 at The Mint in Hollywood and October 30th with Breaking Sound at Adults Only. This whole tour experience was so fun and stressful at the same time, but I learned a lot about the industry, myself and my artistry, and would do it again without a blink of an eye!

Rebelle, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m Rebelle, a disco/dance-pop artist, vocalist, songwriter, and session singer. My music blends the bright, energetic spirit of pop icons like Britney Spears, Katy Perry, and Ava Max, bringing together glitter, bold colors, and empowering lyrics that make people want to dance and sing along. Originally from Croatia, I began my journey in music through Classical Singing & Music Theory, and now I’m based in Los Angeles, where I’m six months away from earning my degree in Vocal Performance from the Los Angeles College of Music.
Music didn’t just come to me—it chose me. From a young age, I found myself on stage performing at festivals, concerts, and competitions, and I’ve never felt more alive or fulfilled than when I was singing for both small and big crowds. One of my earliest memories of this was competing in the Super-finals of Croatia’s Got Talent at the age of 10, and since then, performing has been my passion. In 2018, I had the unique opportunity to star as the main villain in “Music of My Heart”, Croatia’s first-ever musical, and that experience solidified my love for connecting with audiences through music.
My journey in the U.S. has been just as exciting. I’ve had the honor of being part of the Grammy U Mentorship program twice, where I worked with incredible mentors like Amira Gadd and Matthew Puckett, and I even won Music Forward’s Open Mic as a fan favorite. A particularly unforgettable moment was performing background vocals for Dennis Quaid at the 31st Movieguide Awards. These experiences have helped shape me as an artist, teaching me not just about the craft but also about the importance of collaboration and authenticity.
As a creator, I’m focused on making music that resonates on a deep, emotional level, while still bringing that upbeat, danceable energy. My single Taboo explores the painful yet empowering process of recognizing and escaping a toxic relationship. Through my music, I hope to connect with listeners who turn to music for strength, release, and joy, especially when life feels overwhelming.
This past summer, I organized my first mini-tour with shows in Vienna, Croatia, and Los Angeles, which was a huge milestone for me as an independent artist. One of my proudest moments was debuting at *The Mint in LA*—an iconic venue where I’ll be performing again on October 12th. I also have another show lined up on October 30th at 7 pm with Breaking Sound at Adults Only in LA, and I’m incredibly excited for both events. There are more shows in the works, so stay tuned for updates!
My brand embodies vibrant colors, glitter, and music that uplifts, empowers, and unites people. Whether I’m writing songs for myself or collaborating with incredible artists like LUPO, Dennis Quaid, Teresa James, and Carmine Rojas, I put my heart and soul into every project. I’ve also co-written tracks like LUPO’s “FullMetal” and “TWNMAR,” and I thrive on the creative exchange that comes with collaboration.
At the core of everything I do, I want people to know that music and performing are where I feel most at home. My goal is to create music that sparks joy, strength, and a sense of freedom—especially for those who find comfort in dancing and singing their hearts out. For me, music makes life better, and that’s the message I’m here to share with the world.

Any resources you can share with us that might be helpful to other creatives?
Looking back, one resource I wish I had tapped into much earlier in my creative journey is social media. Right now, I post daily content—sometimes even multiple times a day—across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts, and I’ve seen so much more engagement and growth as a result. Of course, I’m still working on expanding my reach, but I can’t help but think how much further along I’d be if I’d embraced this level of consistency sooner.
A big reason I hesitated was that I wasn’t fully clear on where I wanted my career to go at the time. Plus, my partner back then wasn’t very supportive of my presence on social media. It’s funny how the theme of taboo keeps popping up! Now, as an independent artist, I’m fully in control of my brand. I share my music, my daily life as a singer and indie artist, lots of behind-the-scenes content, and even motivational videos.
Although I haven’t reached the exact social media results I’m aiming for yet, I remain optimistic and believe that persistence and authenticity will get me there. It’s all about trusting the process and staying connected to your audience.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
The driving force behind my creative journey has always been my love for performing. From a young age, I’ve been drawn to the stage—singing, dancing, improvising, and entertaining an audience. There’s something magical about the connection that happens when you perform and feel the energy from the crowd. I live for the applause, not for validation, but because it shows me that I’ve entertained people and made their experience worth the ticket, worth getting out of bed. It’s the ultimate proof that they genuinely enjoyed Rebelle and my music. 💖
My goal is to create music that people can truly lose themselves in, to travel the world and connect with people globally, and to bring all of my creative ideas to life—whether it’s through costumes, scenography, choreographies, or vocal arrangements. I want to be someone who’s bold, original, and unafraid to express myself fully through my art.
At the end of the day, nothing makes me as happy as singing. My ultimate mission is to make sure that my greatest love—music—remains my lifelong career. Through music, I can express anything and everything, and it lets me live in a world of endless imagination.
