Rebel , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?

One of the most meaningful projects we’ve worked on is building Rebel Strings from the ground up—not just as a performing act, but as a boutique agency redefining what live music entertainment can look like in the luxury events space. What began as a bold idea between two classically trained string players has grown into a full-service entertainment company that curates high-level performances with electric strings at its core and a diverse roster of exceptional talent—including professional drummers, saxophonists, pianists, and more.

What makes this journey so meaningful is that we’ve been actively setting a new standard for what electric violin performance means in the world of weddings and private events. Our vision was never just about “adding a violinist”—it was about creating immersive, elegant, and high-energy musical moments that feel truly special and personal for each client. We’ve performed across the U.S., Europe, and the Caribbean, including with prestigious brands like The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, and every event reminds us why we do what we do. Rebel Strings has become more than a name—it’s become a signature of excellence and originality in the luxury live music space.

Rebel , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

Rebel Strings is a boutique live music agency founded by Naxo Lara and Lourdes Rosales, two classically trained string players redefining electric violin entertainment for luxury events. What sets us apart is our signature fusion of elegance and energy—custom electric violin performances enhanced by a curated roster of elite musicians, including drummers, saxophonists, and pianists. We don’t just provide music; we craft immersive moments tailored to each celebration. Our work spans high-end weddings, private events, and global performances, always driven by a mission to elevate live entertainment with style, intention, and unforgettable sound.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

For us, the most rewarding aspect of being artists is bringing our music to all kinds of venues across the world and making our clients’ vision come to life through the music we love. From Indian weddings to destination corporate events, we truly enjoy building a personal connection with each client. Every performance is a new adventure, and we take pride in crafting and tailoring each experience to reflect the energy, culture, and emotion of the moment. That creative collaboration and the joy it brings to others is what makes our work so meaningful.

Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?

One of the most valuable realizations in our journey has been that education and gear are not expenses—they’re investments. Early on, we focused heavily on expanding our knowledge beyond classical performance. Both Naxo and Lourdes pursued a Master’s in Multistyle Performance, where they had the opportunity to learn from world-renowned artists like Martha Mooke, Regina Carter, Dave Eggar, and Joe Deninzon. These mentors helped us understand improvisation, music production, and the power of technology in live performance.

We’ve also invested in high-end gear, wireless systems, and sound design tools to ensure we always deliver the highest-quality experience to our clients. Looking back, we wish we had known sooner about the value of these specialized programs and mentors—they’ve shaped the way we approach performance and business. We’ve learned that offering excellence means continuously evolving and never settling. Our clients deserve that level of commitment.
