Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Rebekah Brumfield. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Rebekah, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to go back in time and hear the story of how you came up with the name of your brand?
The name JeanEllen comes from my grandmothers WillieJean and Gloria Ellen. I took their middle name and smashed them together.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
During the height of the pandemic, like most, I was home scrolling social media and watching several celebrities promote products that definitely wouldn’t be functional for the average consumer. I’m a 5’0, curvy Black woman, and watching a few of these celebrities post about adhesive bras and air fryer meals, I knew some of that couldn’t be true. So, I decided to test out products I was interested in and gave my honest opinions. Over the last two year’s, I’ve reviewed all types of products. From alcohol brands, curling irons, to air fresheners. Little did I know, my followers began to trust my word, thus, I came up with the idea for the JeanEllen Home and Lifestyle Collection. It’s definitely been a rewarding experience.
What sets me apart is, I specialize in branding women and minority-based businesses. What I’m most proud of is, I started with no capital or financing and I’ve grown it to where I help businesses across the country. Not only have I been able to promote various businesses, but I’ve also been able to introduce various individuals via my platform on Instagram to a larger community. I’ve gotten where I am by not giving up, being tenacious, and dedicated. It hasn’t been easy, I enlisted help from my industry influencer community and reached out to close family with the expertise to push me forward. I want the world to know that the JeanEllen Collection is and has become a conduit for small businesses to have reach beyond their local communities. My brand will be a household name like QVC, Martha Stewart, Diann Valentine, and Rachael Ray.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I built my audience on social media with consistency. I don’t have lots of followers, but the ones I do have are organic. Creating meaningful and relevant post, keeps my audience engaged. I typically look ahead for National Days, fun events, and post my real-life moments.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect of being a creative would the connections I’ve made. It’s been almost three years, and people recognize me regularly. Its such an awesome feeling to know that your content is appreciated and adds value to people lives.
