Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Rebecca Wiser and Leah Wiser. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Rebecca Wiser and Leah Wiser thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
It’s always exciting every time we launch a new site — and this one is especially close to our hearts. We had the honor of working with The Unbreakable Org, a nonprofit that supports communities that have been impacted by gun violence. What made it even more special is that we got to work with our amazing friend Brittany Sinitch (AKA Five Foot One Teacher), who started this incredible organization.
Rebecca Wiser and Leah Wiser, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
We’re twin sisters, creative partners, and the founders of A Wiser Website. Since day one of launching AWW, we’ve been committed to creating a stress-free, seamless, and concierge experience for our clients. Our love of beautiful design paired with our passion for helping people create thriving businesses is what fuels us every day.
Ever since we were little kids, we’ve been creative partners.. We’d spend hours immersed in different projects: filming pretend commercials, redecorating our room, designing presentations on PowerPoint convincing our parents to let us get a dog . . . you name it!
Years later, we’re still creative partners – but now, we get paid for it :) We went from being imaginative middle schoolers dreaming about running our own business to helping people launch and grow their own.
We’ve launched stunning websites for clients who’ve been featured in Glamour, Forbes, Popsugar, & NBC News, among many others. With all design & development done in-house, each website we design is tailored to fit our client’s needs, visions, and goals.
As fierce advocates for mental health, we’re are also co-founders of Womaze, a free app for emotional well-being that has been featured in Forbes, NBC, and CBS News.
We currently live in Washington DC. Becca has a dog named Betty and Leah has a cat named Pheobe (who get along great, by the way).
Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
Reading David Feldman’s book “Small by Design” was a business (and life) changing read. It completely changed my philosophy on running a growing business while intentionally staying “small.”
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
Witnessing the shift in confidence our clients experience when their new sites and brands are released to the world is the most rewarding aspect of what we do. When we’re able to help showcase people, their gifts, and their services in a way they feel proud of — it’s game-changing. They way they show up in the world is different – they’re more willing to charge what they’re worth, put themselves out there, and serve their clients in an even more powerful way.
