Rebecca, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
To me, being successful is not only about outward accomplishments, but also about dedicating yourself to something that you genuinely care about. The more passionate you are, the more motivated you’re going to be to do the work and keep going even when it feels like things aren’t moving fast enough.
You really have to build your self-trust and confidence, especially as an entrepreneur. It’s so easy to get caught up in comparison, but the people who are truly successful are the ones who have embraced their creativity and unique approach!

Rebecca, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I was an online freelancer for nearly 15 years prior to launching my design studio and I dabbled in all kinds of things, like blogging, ghostwriting and ux testing. I was always very passionate about online marketing and in my free time, I would build websites and play around with graphic design. Years later, I became a Master NLP practitioner and ran my own coaching business for about 3 years until I felt this nudge that I really wanted to pursue design. I signed a client for branding and website design in the first month and things grew pretty quickly from there!
These days, I specialize in brand strategy and website design for health and wellness providers and offer monthly retainer packages for ongoing marketing & design support. One part of my work that I love so much and really feel sets my studio apart is the fact that I have so much past experience in marketing and launching two businesses of my own. My projects are so much more than design—clients really value the strategic perspective I bring to their business!

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
It’s all about building relationships! Just reaching out and getting to know other online entrepreneurs has led to so many clients and referrals. I have found that it truly doesn’t matter how many followers you have on social media or how big your email list is—you can find so many opportunities just by genuinely connecting with other people.
Over time, I’ve built up a referral network of people who provide complementary services within my industry, like copywriters, social media managers, and lead gen strategists. This also benefits my clients because I always have a trusted recommendation when they’re looking to hire support in other areas!

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
I love collaborating with health and wellness providers who are so dedicated to helping others create healthy, sustainable and emotionally nourishing lifestyles. Being a part of their mission and using my creative skills to help them expand their positive impact on the world is immensely gratifying. Every day I feel grateful to have a career that allows me to be creative, build meaningful relationships, and contribute to work that makes a real difference.
