We recently connected with Rebecca Foster and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Rebecca, thanks for joining us today. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
Success is such a personal journey, but I believe there are key elements that essentially contribute to achieving it. First and foremost, it is important to find your “why”. When you deeply understand your purpose and what drives you, it becomes easier to become inspired, motivated, and navigate challenges. It is the inner fire that keeps you going even when things get tough.
Equally important is having a clear goal. Success requires direction, and setting specific, actionable goals will give you a roadmap to follow. It’s not just about dreaming big but also breaking those dreams into manageable steps that bring you closer to the end result.
Of course, grit and determination play a huge role. Success is not always a straight path, and setbacks are inevitable. The ability to persevere and adapt when things don’t go as planned is often what separates those who succeed from those who don’t.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Sure! I’m a proud mom of two amazing boys that I’m incredibly proud of: a 22 year old, Jonathan, who’s somehow already smarter than me, and a 16-year-old, Joshua, who’s itching to get behind the wheel…pray for me haha. Life is never dull, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
For the last 14 years, I poured my heart into education. I really enjoy teaching, but let’s be real—educator pay doesn’t exactly scream “financial freedom.” After going through a major life transition and going down to one income, I learned quickly that the lifestyle that my boys and I once knew would not be the same unless I made a change.
I realized that in order to be the best version of myself for my boys, I needed to find a way to generate more income. However, also having the flexibility to be present for them was extremely important, so transitioning to a different 9-5 wasn’t exactly the answer I needed.
I decided to learn valuable skills that I could use to create other streams of income but could be done from the comfort of my own home.
What I discovered was life-changing: real education products that taught me how to build a business from home—a business that worked. It was like the light bulb finally clicked on!
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My creative journey is driven by the mission to empower and inspire others, particularly those who feel they have to choose between their passions and their responsibilities.
As a single mom and a lifelong entrepreneur at heart, I’ve always had a passion for content creation – whether it was to make people laugh, inspire others, or educate them on something I was knowledgeable about. Recently, life took a turn that forced me to dig deeper into my purpose. Going down to one income meant that I had to get serious about building a future that aligns with my dreams while providing myself and my 2 boys.
This experience has inspired me to show that it’s possible to overcome challenges and turn things I’m knowledgeable and passionate about into sustainable paths, proving that your circumstances don’t define you – your resilience and creativity do.
I dove into learning skills on how to use content creation to market products, services, and businesses using social media to it’s fullest potential. I know friends and family members, including my boys, who have passions for music and art, as well as, other business ideas. Learning these skills are not only providing myself with business opportunities, but will also equip me to support them in promoting their talents and passions.
I want my work to not only entertain or educate but to serve as a beacon for others who are in similar situations or just feel like they have to choose a familiar, day-to-day grind to provide for their families, missing the chance to provide while pursuing a career they love.
My ultimate goal is to create meaningful content that resonates with people and supports them in their journey to pursue something that lights a fire in them each day.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
A defining moment in my journey that illustrates my resilience was becoming a young mom at 17. I was terrified and uncertain, but my parents were my biggest supporters, teaching me that my life didn’t have to stop. Instead, they encouraged me to work even harder because I had a child depending on me. With their support, I finished college and became a teacher, proving to myself that I could achieve anything, no matter the odds.
Fast forward 16 years, and I faced another life-altering challenge, which was the end of my marriage. It was one of the toughest decisions I’ve ever had to make, especially knowing it meant going down to one income and facing financial uncertainty. But I knew that protecting my two sons and creating a healthier environment for them was worth every sacrifice. It was a pivotal moment that taught me the true meaning of resilience: making the difficult choices that align with your values, even when the path ahead is unclear. I know that not all stories look like mine, but I know there many people have faced challenges in their life that need the inspiration to push through. I hope that my journey is a testament to the power of perseverance for others that helps them turn their big test into their biggest testimony. This is what continues to fuel my drive to build a better life for myself and my family.
