Rebecca, appreciate you joining us today. Are you happier as a creative? Do you sometimes think about what it would be like to just have a regular job? Can you talk to us about how you think through these emotions?
Thank you for the opportunity to share my thoughts as an professional Creative and Artist. I find immense joy and fulfillment in pursing my passion as an independent Wardrobe Fashion Stylist.
The ability to express myself through art and fashion is something I cherish deeply.
My Carrier as a Wardrobe Fashion Stylist started at a regular 9-5pm Job. Back in the days I used to work as a full-time Fashion Designer. So, I do have experienced both and can say for sure I prefer working for myself.
However, I must admit the stability and predictability that often come with traditional career can be enticing.
Financial stability and consistent routine is not guaranteed and can be a struggle especially in the beginning of your carrier.
Constant exploration, growth and hard work will pay off.
The extraordinary sense of freedom and self-expression pursuing my passion as an artist and creative Fashion stylist is where I find true contentment.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
In the early stages of your career as a Wardrobe Fashion Stylist, going the extra mile and being ready to put in the extra work is crucial. This field demands dedication, persistence and willing to continuously learn and adapt. It is through this commitment that you can truly thrive and establish yourself as a reputable and sought-after stylist.
My career started in studying Fashion Design, working as a full-time Fashion Designer for several years.
Creating a portfolio as a Wardrobe Fashion Stylist and assisting several experienced professionals before taking on my own projects.
Remember, in this competitive field, passion and talent may not be enough. It is the combination of hard work, a strong work ethic and a genuine desire to excel that will set you apart. With dedication and a hunger of growth, you can carve out a rewarding career as a Wardrobe Fashion Stylist.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
There are so many rewarding aspects of being a professional wardrobe artist.
Working with individuals and Celebrities: It brings me great satisfaction in helping clients look and feel their best. By curating outfits that enhance my clients in confidence and personal style, I can make a positive and empowering impact in my clients lives and boost their self-esteem.
Working for Fashion Editorials is creatively the most rewarding. It allows me to showcase my unique artistic vision
By creating outfits that will tell you a visual inspiring Story.
Working with clients and all the creative professionals is also very rewarding. Most individuals I work with are coming from a design or creative background and it is inspiring to see them creating “magic” on set.
Are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
Collaboration and Connections are the most important resources you can have in our industry. Building relationships and collaborating with Photographers, Designer, Models, Hair and Make up Artists, Creative Directors, Clients, Production Companies and many more can be very rewarding. The opportunity to work along side talented individuals can create a camaraderie. The industry is ever-evolving, fast and something superficial. Having a strong foundation of coworkers who share a genuine passion for the craft can make all the difference.
