We recently connected with Reajine Sanders and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Reajine, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
Growing in this industry, there were a lot of opportunities I came across where I needed help or vice versa got the help and knew that others needed those certain gems as well. I quickly learned that a lot of leaders in the modeling industry already expect you to have a certain criteria in regards to experience and professionalism, but no one is teaching the fundamentals of modeling. So I took it upon myself to be that be king of light in this highly competitive industry.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Becoming Reajine is everything it stands for being as though that is my middle name and through modeling I was able to become a different version of myself or a more intuitive version of myself. I was fortunate to find who I truly am through modeling. I started at the age of 14 during a time where my life was developing and falling apart all at the same time. At the age of 14 I found out that the man who raised me wasn’t my biological father so that shattered me and created a bunch of questions as far as who I am, and where I came from, and it began to make me very discouraged and going into high school as well as becoming a young lady. I got into modeling by way of a management course called Iconiq teen model management in Dallas Tx. The instructors there were like second moms to me they took me in under their wing and showed me how to love myself and grow my confidence within myself through modeling. I cultivated like family with these women and they gave me key foundations of Becoming all that I am today.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
It is vastly heard, but definitely trust the process I started making reels on Instagram and generally just wanted to put out information that I felt was frequently asked from people who are current models as well as inspiring models. I definitely believe that when you go into something with true intentions that comes back to you full circle, of course we all want a high engagement with our platforms and our reach within our business focusing on the purpose, especially when it’s in regards to others will always benefit you in the end. I’m a true believer that what you put out is exactly what you’re gonna get back.
How do you keep your team’s morale high?
A good leader is also a good listener now that I have a full staffed team behind me. It definitely gives me the confidence to press forward and with that comes a great level of responsibility in regards to leading. I am everyone’s input responses things that they feel should be better or changed. Incorporating a team environment as far as communication and engagement. Always showing a high-level of respect and setting the standard for the expectation as we move as a unit.
