We were lucky to catch up with Raymond Sylvester James recently and have shared our conversation below.
Raymond , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
The story behind my mission is I want to bring inventions to life that help people. Whether it be to help with everyday problems or long term issues, I want my inventions to improve people lives.

Raymond, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Raymond Sylvester James & I was born on the Caribbean Island nation of Trinidad & Tobago. I lived there up until I was 18 yrs old, then moved to the U.S. Virgin Islands & after to Jacksonville Florida. It was in Jacksonville FL where a package was stolen off my doorstep & because of that experience, I invented a delivery Locker named Package Pally to protect packages. Package theft is a serious problem because while that package may contain something as simple as a fidget spinner, it may also contain complex life saving Medicine. You never know what may be inside a package on someone’s doorsteps, so I believe it’s best to protect all packages. That’s why I invented Package Pally, to protect packages. After I make Package Pally a success, I plan to bring to market another one of my inventions that will make building Homes simpler & more efficient. I am most proud of my first United States Patent, which I received for Package Pally. It was a long, complex process but I got it done. I want my clients or potential clients to know that I have other inventions that I plan to bring to life, to make the world a better place.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
After the package was stolen off my doorsteps, I went in my Garage & made the first prototype for Package Pally. I did a Patent search, applied for a Patent & 2rs later, it was granted. After multiple prototypes I found a manufacturer to make the production version, which I have selling online on my Website PackagePally.com & Amazon.

Can you open up about how you funded your business?
I funded my business by working a day job in my career as an Electrical Technician and & using a portion of my paycheck to pay for expenses like prototypes, materials, patent fees, lawyer fees, production runs, advertising & marketing.
