We recently connected with RAWAN ABUSAID and have shared our conversation below.
RAWAN , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
As a designer and creative in general, my mission is to inspire others through spaces and photographs.
My career as a designer started with a vision of creating futuristic spaces that brings joy to others. I started to explore photography in 2014 when I found Nature and its details became my inspiration outside of the design world and started to incorporate photographs into ceiling design elements.
My passion for photography is beyond a captured photograph, it is an ongoing creative vision.
As a photographer, eye-catching and unique photography is what I thrive for while encouraging my viewers to find a connection with the story behind each photograph. My goal is to share my personal perspective of the world through the lens of my camera.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m a full-time Commercial Interior Designer living in Los Angeles, California. When I can manage some personal time outside of work, I love to travel to ignite my passion for the world of art. I find the most inspiration and serenity in nature. If there is one thing you should know about me, a sip of coffee on top of a mountain is my happy place.
When I moved to the United States in 2006 I was only 16 years old. At the time I didn’t speak any English, but my passion for learning the language has gotten me to where I am today. Leaning into my own discomfort and understanding English as quickly as I could helped me propel my passion for creativity through new opportunities that wouldn’t have existed otherwise.
After graduating from Maryville University Of St.Louis with a bachelors of Fine Arts specializing in Interior Design, my access to art through physical space and architecture became tangible, and thus what began to fuel my desire to capture the beauty around me. My first out of school is where I was gifted my own camera and my journey of becoming a photographer at a larger scale than I had done previously has started.
My camera became my life. I started exploring the city every day after work and photographing what captured my eye. It was originally a hobby, but then people started reacting to my photos and reaching out for prints, then began to invest in photography as a business.
INdesigner Photography’s core concept is based on innovation. The name of my business combines who I am in one word innovative designer (INDESIGNER). My photography consists of landscape architecture, creative portraits, engagement sessions, as well as weddings. After 5 years of being a photographer, I invested in hosting shows around the world. I have done gallery shows in St.Louis Missouri, Denver, Colorado, and Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. I’m currently working on a show in New York and Los Angeles. I have photographed and worked with many inspiring individuals as well as brands that were part of my growth within the industry.
Aside from the professional world, I’m passionate about rock climbing, reading books, traveling the world, and exploring the best-made coffee I can find.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
one of the most rewarding aspects of being an artist is witnessing the excitement on my client’s faces when they receive the finished product. Whether it is a renovated space or an edited photoshoot. The remarkable feedback I have gotten from my clients is the reason why I do what I do today.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
One of the most effective ways of building a good reputation in the photography industry is gaining friendships. The client’s experience during the entire photo shoot is the most important part, as it reflects on how comfortable the client is with you as a creative during and after the photoshoot.
Professionalism goes a long way in our industry. The way you approach and communicate with your clients will initiate their recommendation to others to hire you for future events. Word of mouth offers free marketing and network growth that is organic and meaningful. My goal with new prospects is first to become friendly and personable with them before the shoot. Understanding them on a personal level helps with my approach to help engage with them in a way that makes them most comfortable.
