We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Raw Talent. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Raw below.
Raw , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you tell us about a time that your work has been misunderstood? Why do you think it happened and did any interesting insights emerge from the experience?
All the time just because of how look, how I talk, and how I act. I feel like that plays a big role in how people view / categorize me until they get to know me and once they get to know.
I’ve learned people have their own opinions and view situations how they want to see it wrong or right. I’ve just learned over time not to take anything personal because it still doesn’t change me or affect me as a person

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Names Raw Talent im a music artist out of Virginia (Nova). I’ve been doing music since a kid but start pursuing it more the past few years
As an upcoming artist I think my sound and my visions set me apart from the rest because I can never settle for less and I’m always chasing and wanting to be a better version of me. I’m not in competition with anyone I just love to make good music and drop it !
I’m proud of how far I’ve come in just the battles I’ve encountered over the years while trying to purse my dreams and goals. Most would get discouraged but I feel like that’s all part of the plan and process it’s to really test your faith to see if you deserve it or not.
The goals have set is just to be able to make more music full time, sign to a better label or just stay independent and keep a distribution deal so I can do what I want. Release my clothing line so I can market that more with my music
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
In the beginning of me pursuing music I was always in trouble. Having to sit down for a while and going to court every other week it felt like, it killed my vibe and made me not want to do anything because if I was out and about instead of at home just felt like I was gonna get in trouble while having fun so I realized I needed to move away from home to become a better me or else that wasn’t gonna happen

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
Just being able to connect with my listeners and touch people with my music. Reaching new heights and gaining new listeners and followers is always a blessing because we really wouldn’t be nothing without our fans
