Raven, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?

The mission of Radiant Self Co is to help you pursue personal development and live a radiant life. While many companies are productivity-focused, we focus on holistically helping people thrive in every area of their lives. We believe in complete personal development physically, mentally, emotionally, financially, relationally, and spiritually. All of this contributes to becoming who we are supposed to be and doing what we are called to do. While we are bosses, leveling up, and doing multiple things, we know what’s most important.

To be radiant is to exude JOY, LOVE, PERSONAL INTEGRITY, AND MORAL COURAGE. We’re not perfect by any means, but we’re dedicated to the process of being better than we were before, and know it takes work. It’s about purpose and process. We desire genuine community and include faith in everything we do, however anyone can find use in what we provide.

Grounding scriptures that help showcase who we are and why we believe in being radiant are Revelation 19:8 AMP and Psalms 34:5 NLT.

Our mission is meaningful to me because it all stems from the purpose and assignment THE LORD has given me.

I am not who I used to be in a lot of ways and some the complete opposite. It stems from doing the inner work and my relationship with THE LORD. I understand that to truly thrive in life and be who we are supposed to be it takes a holistic approach. When I tried to find a planner to meet all my needs, there wasn’t one. So even our cornerstone product The Radiant Life Planner (coming soon), is not like any other planner on the market. We have a variety of resources and content and more to come to help people on their journey. While other businesses are geared towards women, we are different. Our internal community is primarily made up of women, however, our content, resources, and products are made for everyone.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?

Of course! Hi y’all, I’m Raven Renee. I am the CEO of Radiant Self Co., a Texas native, and am currently working towards becoming a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I am a lover of THE LORD, personal development, and relationship.

I was always very driven, genuine, and tried to be better every day. From a young age, THE LORD had me using my experiences and wisdom HE had given me. I did this through blogs, sharing with young women through YouTube videos, and just in-person interactions like facilitating a group for women on my college campus. As I matured and went through life, I knew that it was a part of my mission to equip and inspire others while providing a space and resources for them that I didn’t have and couldn’t find. Why community is so engrained into who Radiant Self Co is as a company is because it’s something I didn’t have for a long time, but desired. I know what it feels like to not have in a variety of ways and be set apart, even not understanding why I couldn’t do certain things or why certain things wouldn’t happen for me. I didn’t have a blueprint for the way my life was going and couldn’t resonate with other people’s experiences. I want every person to have a genuine, uplifting community and we provide that space. I also want people to have resources and tools to contribute to their self-work and process of becoming. Whatever stage of life you are in, we have something for you. What sets us apart is our quality in content and interactions, along with our authenticity and focus on joy, love, moral courage, and personal integrity. We provide very practical and helpful resources in written and video form currently. Also, my knowledge in mental health, communication, and relationships combined with my passion goes with me wherever I go, so this is an advantage for us that sets us apart.

A problem that we solve for our community and customers is providing a faith-based holistic approach to personal development in a world that is lacking this. We don’t just want you to thrive financially, mentally, or solely spiritually. We want you to be a whole person and live the life that you desire. While we focus on holistic development, we take a simple approach. We are realistic and authentic. Wherever you are on your journey, we have something that will benefit you.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?

On the journey towards trying to release our first physical product, it did not go as planned. However, we took that in stride and focused on building our community and providing valuable content and resources that were within our control. Originally, it seemed like a setback, but it was the redirection we needed at the time to set us up for a hopeful future. This is a story of resilience but also learning how to pivot and be adaptable, which is important. It’s important to be obedient and move when GOD says move.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

This may be counter to every other piece of advice you have ever heard. But, we did not try to build our audience. We put purpose before everything and were obedient to whatever THE LORD had us to say or do. We allow our authenticity and heart to draw people in along with the quality of everything that we put out. Starting out we would recommend not worrying about the numbers on social media. Especially when looking to build a community, you want the people that resonate with you, will support you, and that you can serve.
