Hi Raven, thanks for joining us today. Setting up an independent practice is a daunting endeavor. Can you talk to us about what it was like for you – what were some of the main steps, challenges, etc.
With over a decade serving as a medical professional the main goal at the beginning of my aesthetic career was to create fully customized skincare products and services tailored to each client’s skin type, concerns, and desired results. I’ve always been passionate about helping others in need so enhancing someone’s natural canvas was an automatic plus! From perfectly shaped eyebrows that frame the face, to makeup looks that accentuate natural beauty. I landed a career full time as a Medical Aesthetician inside of a Medi-Spa so in my spare time, I enjoyed providing free “makeovers,” or as we at “Made” like to call them, “MADE-OVER’S”. Hence the name Made Aesthetics, this allowed me to gain experience with different services while giving back to women who wanted help finding their inner confidence.
Now, with experience serving over 200+ trusted clients through my own business, I look forward to spreading awareness of our services, expanding to several states, mentoring and training other like-minded beauty professionals to achieve their own success. I recognize this is a tough industry with few providers offering similar services, so spreading awareness through social media, weddings, events, and other opportunities as well as networking is key!

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I feel that my ability to build and expand my reputation has been due to consistency and resilience. I re-started my business in the midst of the pandemic, and I never expected to be able to survive, let alone thrive after changing locations and raising prices. I also continue to pursue advanced training and aim to deliver authentic, real-time results as much as possible.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Starting a business right before the country declared a pandemic was especially tragic for entrepreneurs without other sources of income. With mailing systems delayed, I personally hand-delivered items to customers who had purchased from my website. This allowed me to provide customer service while simultaneously marketing, advertising, and making sales.
