We recently connected with Raven Holmes and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Raven, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear how you think where to draw the line in terms of asking friends and family to support your business – what’s okay and what’s over the line?
I started out asking friends and family to support my businesses. Some did some didn’t. I didn’t let that stop me. Strangers most definitely got me where I am today. I love & appreciate all of you for rocking with your girl Raven a.k.a Strawberrie.
Raven, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m a Major Recording artist and entrepreneur. My businesses are Smile in style boutique & Top Shelf Cleaning services. I’m most proud of my journey, & my success. I got into entrepreneurship because I always knew I didn’t want to work for anyone my whole life, and I had dreams & goals. Music have ways been apart of me and a gift. My mind frame always led to there’s no limits in what you can do and accomplish
How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?
Funding my businesses took grind, hustle, struggle, focus, vision.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
What helped build my reputation in all of my career areas, is simply doing what I said I was going to do, whether that was providing awesome customer service, products, music, & cleanness.
