Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Raven Blue. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Raven , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you talk to us about how you learned to do what you do?
Burlesque Dancing is an art form. It’s the Art of Tease. This form can be hard to learn, as it’s about flirting with the eyes and body movements. To entice and excite the audience. The most hypnotic performances I have seen are when the dancer can command the room with the presence of raw sexuality/sensuality. With that and the right music it can make for a powerful enchanting performance.
There are always things to learn when it comes to Burlesque dancing. I have always loved and followed Dita Von Teese throughout her career. I love her style and have many books of hers.
You can always stay with the classic burlesque/showgirl style or Neo burlesque which as it’s own flare. I tend to work with both depending on what I’m feeling. Create characters and acting it out is tough.
Currently I am working on Pole dancing and crafting that into my burlesque acts.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I have been a model since 2013. I got my start in Seattle Washington as a way to get over my shyness and work on my confidence. I never thought much about my beauty, but now I know how to use it.
As time went on it became a way to express myself. I love all things horror so you can find some of my work in horror magazines.
I have walked in fashion shows, I have been an art model, now it’s more pinup modeling and burlesque dancing. As far as alternative or classic pinup modeling, I am available for photoshoots, parties, editorials and classic/hot rod car shows. Burlesque, I am with a troupe (Frisky Business Burlesque) but I am also available for parties and I do perform around Texas. Show schedules can be found on my website.

In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?
Go to more burlesque shows and support this timeless art form. The performers work hard on their acts and would be grateful for the support. Don’t let live theater die. Don’t let the arts die out. Everyone needs art in their life.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
To be seen, heard and leave a lasting legacy.
