We recently connected with Rashida Henry and have shared our conversation below.
Rashida, appreciate you joining us today. Coming up with the idea is so exciting, but then comes the hard part – executing. Too often the media ignores the execution part and goes from idea to success, skipping over the nitty, gritty details of executing in the early days. We think that’s a disservice both to the entrepreneurs who built something amazing as well as the public who isn’t getting a realistic picture of what it takes to succeed. So, we’d really appreciate if you could open up about your execution story – how did you go from idea to execution?
BT2U (Being True 2 U) Sisters Rising really started from a much smaller idea rooted in community, healing, and honest conversation. Before it became a six-month wellness workshop series for teen girls, it began as a six-week virtual support group for millennial women through Knows No Face our therapy private practice. At the time, we were seeing so many women struggling with burnout, identity, anxiety, relationships, and simply trying to hold everything together while still finding themselves. The original thought was simple: create a safe virtual space where women could feel seen, heard, and supported.
Once the idea came, the next step was asking ourselves practical questions: What would this actually look like? Who would it serve best? How could we make it accessible and meaningful? We started researching support group structures, outlining topics, thinking through logistics like scheduling, registration, confidentiality, and how to create a space that felt emotionally safe even in a virtual setting. A lot of the early days were spent brainstorming, writing notes, revising ideas, and having conversations about what people truly needed but often didn’t have access to.
As we worked through the planning process, something bigger became clear. We realized that many of the struggles adult women were bringing into therapy actually started during adolescence. Issues around self-esteem, identity, peer pressure, emotional regulation, boundaries, and confidence were showing up long before adulthood. That realization shifted everything. Instead of only focusing on healing women after years of carrying those experiences, we started asking: “What if we could reach girls earlier? What if we could help build confidence, emotional wellness, and sisterhood before some of those wounds deepen?”
That question became the turning point.
From there, BT2U Sisters Rising began to take shape. What started as a short-term virtual support idea evolved into a free six-month wellness workshop series specifically designed for teen girls ages 13–18. Once we made that decision, the work became much more intentional. We had to build an actual program structure: monthly workshop themes, wellness activities, discussion topics, guest speakers, community partnerships, registration processes, parental communication, and creating a welcoming environment where teens would feel empowered rather than judged.
The next several months were filled with behind-the-scenes work that people often do not see when launching something new. We developed branding and messaging that felt authentic to teen girls while still reflecting the heart of Knows No Face LLC. We researched what teens are currently facing socially and emotionally, explored trauma-informed approaches for youth engagement, and designed workshops that balanced education, creativity, emotional support, and empowerment.
We also had to figure out the operational side of launching a community-based program. That meant creating flyers, promoting the series online and within the community, networking with schools and local organizations, organizing supplies and materials, setting up registration systems, planning timelines, and making sure the program would remain free and accessible. There were definitely moments where it felt overwhelming because turning an idea into a real program requires constant problem-solving. Every answered question seemed to uncover five more questions.
But little by little, things started moving from vision to reality.
One of the biggest lessons during the process was understanding that launching a program does not happen all at once. It happens through consistent small steps — one conversation, one outline, one meeting, one workshop plan at a time. There were days filled with excitement and clarity, and other days filled with uncertainty and revisions. But every step kept bringing us closer to the mission.
By April 2026, BT2U Sisters Rising officially launched, and seeing teen girls walk into a space intentionally created for their wellness, growth, and self-discovery made every late night and planning session worth it. What began as an idea for six weeks of support blossomed into something much larger: a movement centered around healing, empowerment, authenticity, and sisterhood across generations.
As a millennial therapy private practice, Knows No Face LLC is incredibly honored to now extend that support to teens. BT2U Sisters Rising represents more than workshops — it represents prevention, community, emotional wellness, and giving young girls the tools and support to become confident in who they are long before the world tells them who they should be.

Rashida, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Rashida Henry, and I am the founder of BT2U (Being True 2 U) Sisters Rising through Knows No Face LLC, a millennial-focused therapy private practice built on the belief that healing begins when people feel safe enough to show up as their authentic selves. My work is deeply rooted in mental wellness, emotional healing, empowerment, and community connection, and over the years I have become passionate about creating spaces where people — especially women and girls — feel seen, heard, valued, and supported.
I entered this field because I saw firsthand how many people silently struggle with anxiety, low self-esteem, trauma, burnout, identity issues, and emotional isolation. In both professional and personal spaces, I noticed that many individuals were carrying emotional burdens without safe outlets to process them. As a therapist and wellness advocate, I wanted to create something that went beyond traditional therapy sessions. I wanted to create experiences and communities centered around healing, growth, and authenticity.. That vision is what led to the creation of Knows No Face LLC and eventually BT2U Sisters Rising.
Through BT2U Sisters Rising, we provide wellness workshops, mentorship, emotional support, empowerment programming, confidence-building activities, safe discussions, and community-centered experiences specifically designed for teen girls. The workshops focus on topics such as self-esteem, emotional wellness, healthy relationships, identity, stress management, communication, leadership, self-care, and personal growth. Our goal is to create environments where girls feel empowered to embrace who they are unapologetically while also learning practical tools to support their mental and emotional well-being.
What makes our work different is that we intentionally center authenticity, relatability, and emotional safety. We are not just providing information — we are building genuine connection and community. Many young girls today are navigating overwhelming pressures from social media, school, relationships, family expectations, and society overall. BT2U Sisters Rising creates a space where they do not have to perform or pretend. They can simply be themselves.
Another thing that sets us apart is accessibility. We intentionally made the workshop series free because we believe emotional wellness support should not be limited only to those who can afford it. Too often, communities that need support the most face barriers to accessing mental health and wellness resources. Being able to offer this program free of charge is something I am incredibly proud of because it aligns with our mission of service, empowerment, and equity.
I am also proud of how organically this vision evolved. What started as a small idea grew into something much larger because it was built from listening to real needs within the community. Every workshop, conversation, and interaction is rooted in intentionality and compassion. Watching teen girls begin opening up, supporting one another, and gaining confidence in themselves has been one of the most meaningful parts of this journey.
More than anything, I want people to know that BT2U Sisters Rising and Knows No Face LLC are built from a genuine desire to help people heal, grow, and feel less alone. Our work is about creating transformative spaces where authenticity is celebrated, emotional wellness is prioritized, and people are reminded that their voice, story, and identity matter.
For potential clients, supporters, and community members, I want them to know that this brand is not simply about workshops or therapy services — it is about impact. It is about planting seeds of confidence, resilience, healing, and self-worth in individuals and communities. We believe that when people are given safe spaces, support, and tools for wellness, they are empowered to rise into the fullest version of themselves.
That is the heart behind everything we do.

We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
We keep in touch with clients and participants by creating genuine relationships and consistent community engagement both online and in person. Through Knows No Face LLC and BT2U Sisters Rising, we stay connected through social media, wellness check-ins, workshop updates, community events, emails, and open conversations that allow people to feel seen and supported beyond a single session or event. We also host monthly virtual open houses for mentees, parents, volunteers and community partners who are interested in learning more about BT2U.
We foster brand loyalty by leading with authenticity, trust, and impact. People continue to support our work because they know our mission is rooted in creating safe, empowering spaces for healing, emotional wellness, and personal growth. We prioritize accessibility, relatability, and genuine care, which helps build lasting connections with the individuals and families we serve.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
One of the biggest pivots in my journey happened while building what is now BT2U (Being True 2 U) Sisters Rising. The original program outline was a six-week virtual support group for millennial women through Knows No Face LLC. But during the planning process, I realized many of the struggles adult women face — like low self-esteem, anxiety, and identity challenges — often begin during adolescence. That realization completely shifted the vision. Instead of a short-term virtual group, we pivoted into creating a free six-month wellness workshop series for teen girls ages 13–18. It was a much larger commitment, but it allowed us to make a deeper and more lasting impact.
