We recently connected with Raquel Lopez and have shared our conversation below.

Raquel, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Parents play a huge role in our development as youngsters and sometimes that impact follows us into adulthood and into our lives and careers. Looking back, what’s something you think you parents did right?

I would have to say that growing up in average household where only one parent was business mind oriented, has helped me the most throughout my career and the choices I’ve made. I watched my mother start her business working from home, helping customers at all hours of the day, any day of the week to going on to open up her own office location, and even owning a large franchise business. I am very lucky, I feel like I was a natural born entrepreneur just from watching her hustle and work ethic. I’m thankful that I’ve learned the ropes of owning a business and building a customer base built on authentic customer service to the client.

Raquel, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I have been involved with family business that is a Tax Preparation company and Insurance Agency for the last 15 years one and off. I did work in corporate, however I always remained a licensed Insurance and Tax Professional, among my other field of work. Currently I own RLO Insurance Agency which is a full service Insurance Agency offering Home, Auto and Business Insurance in Texas. We have a store front location and it’s located in the heart of Cleveland, TX. Our plan is to grow the agency and expand into the Houston area in the near future. One of the most important things for me as a business owner is excellent customer service, I go above and beyond to help all of our clients and customers, and we appreciate all of our current customers.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?

Our best marketing strategy to get new clients is actually word of mouth referrals, we focus on excellent customer satisfaction that our service speaks for itself. We also are active on Instagram and Facebook.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

I believe that being a part of my family business has helped me grow my clientele and reputation, in total years combined we have been in the community for 35 years. This in itself has a huge advantage for new clients who come into our office.
