Hi Raquel, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by sharing your thoughts about the pros and cons of family businesses.
With experience in family business endeavors, I believe that being involved in family business has been my biggest strength in pursuing my own company. Learning from a very young age to to hustle and manage businesses has allowed me to have a very different perspective on work and how to make money. Mostly, how to help a community with a certain business by serving the public. I’m thankful that I have been exposed to this opportunity for myself but also for my family and to teach my daughter for her future career choices.

Revolve Dating app is a new social app, that was created out of a personal experience and idea for the busy people don’t want to spend all day texting, and chatting without having any success in meeting actual singles. The reason this app is different, is because it allows the users to customize their preferences of where and when they would like to meet potential singles. The app literally will revolve around their schedules, and even suggest venue of where to meet. The app is simple to use, users are able to send instant date requests to other singles, and book an instant date without having the hassle of spending hours chatting to figure out where to go, or meet. Revolve Dating app started in Houston, TX and has grown into 14 countries, the user base is growing steadily and we are just now in the fist 6 months of solid growth. We are most proud to offer an app that caters to those people who really want to make genuine connections in person, and have this tool available for them to do so. We hope the app continues to grow and are thankful for all of the current success.

Personal and professional setbacks are inevitable in life, and as a business person and human, I have had several. I would say the key to staying resilient in any situation is to not give up. It does take time, and sometimes you feel as if you’re not moving forward with your goals, however, if you don’t give up, the right time will present itself and you will continue on your path. Even the biggest roadblock can be resolved, with a positive attitude and support from your team and family, anything can move forward. I’ve personally had financial, health and legal issues set me back, however I let time do it’s thing, and play its part, and I moved forward when I recovered from all of my issues. Thankfully now I’m thriving, and I’m aware of what can happen, and prepared for anything that may happen inevitably. My advice is take it one day at a time, and be patient with yourself and your goals.
We’d love to hear the story of how you turned a side-hustle into a something much bigger.
At this point in time, my side hustle aka this Tech Company startup Revolve Dating, has been my business project and is slowly transforming into my everyday business activity. The team is very small, we have only immediate essential team members as needed for the company. The company was formed in 2020 and the App release date was in July 2021. Since then, the app brand has been growing steadily throughout the country and we expect to see a huge growth spurt at the end of this year.
