Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Randolph Scott. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Randolph, thanks for joining us today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
It was the first time I ever performed live. Someone put a flyer in my door for a music contest. When I arrived this guy by the name “Silver B” who I learned later was one of the biggest promoters and radio personalities in Cleveland, Ohio, told me not to enter the contest and instead walked me down a hallway to a fashion show that was taking place at the same facility. He had me perform in the fashion show while the models were changing outfits. After it was over he asked me, “So you’ve been doing this a while huh? I replied “no this was my first time”. When I saw his reaction, his facial expression combined with him saying Wow! I knew then that this is what I wanted to do.

Randolph, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m Randolph Scott aka Sirnoc, Hip Hop’s Superhero. People call me Hip Hop’s Superhero because my music is motivating, inspiring and Positive (Free of profanity and derogatory language toward anyone). To top it off the subject matters of my songs usually are about making the world a better place and never giving up. The way I got into Hip Hop was because my brother Joey noticed I had a great rap voice. He overheard me reciting one of my favorite artist’s rhymes and said “You have a nice rap voice”. He was a writer and offered to write some songs for me. From there I got the “Bug” and since I wrote poetry, it was no problem transitioning to Hip Hop and the rest is history. My music is available on all internet stores: Amazon music, Apple music, YouTube and Pandora just to name a few. I solve problems for my listeners because in todays world every once in a while you want to get away from all the negative things life has to offer and music provides that with an inspiring “feel good” vibe. What sets me apart from most Hip Hop artist is that my songs are 100% positive, motivating and inspire you to never give up on what you want out of life. What I’m most proud of is that I have received over 50 awards and letters of recommendations from Senators, Mayors, State Reps, Congressman, schools and Colleges for my service to the community by performing and talking to children about the importance of reading, staying away from drug use and protecting their brains from negative images.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being an artist and specifically a positive one is the fact that I realize the effects of images (TV, Movies, Internet and music”) on people. I also know the the term “Monkey see, Monkey do” has nothing to do with a monkey. It means Human see Human do and people unknowingly copy “Images”, especially ones they like. So what better way to make the world a better place but to create Positive things for them to copy.

In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?
If you truly believe in and love the direction that an artist is going, then I believe the best way to support is to share, stream and purchase artist downloads and merchandise so the artist can continue to provide music they love, instead of working a regular job taking his or her attention away from their craft.
