We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Randolph Samuel a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Randolph, appreciate you joining us today. So, naming is such a challenge. How did you come up with the name of your brand?
When my wife and I got married, a friend of ours combined our name together and it stuck. My name is Randolph and her name is Brandi. When the pandemic started, I would build a lot of stuff at my home to pass the time and it was turning out really good. My wife is an accountant and naturally she wanted to make this passion hobby into a business so I thought it would be fitting to make the company name a combination of both our names. That where The Brandolph Collection came from.

Randolph, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am a self taught wood worker. In high school and college, I worked at The Home Depot in the hardware department. It was here I honed my skills as a woodworker. I bought tools and began using them in my free time. Being able to look at furniture and understand its construction and how to recreate it, is a rewarding and underappreciated skill!

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
For me, the best source of new clients have been old clients that I’ve done great work for. Whenever I post a finished product on my social media platform, I seem to drum up lots of clients.

We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
I always keep in contact with clients. I create built-ins and customs furniture and that comes with a level of details. I am always reaching back out to former clients to ensure the install is still holding up. Around the Christmas holidays, I send greeting cards to clients thanking them for their business and the blessings they have provided to me.
