Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Randi Skye. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Randi Skye, thanks for joining us today. Learning the craft is often a unique journey from every creative – we’d love to hear about your journey and if knowing what you know now, you would have done anything differently to speed up the learning process.
Well, I have always been one of the funniest in the room. I was given an opportunity to get on stage and I felt so comfortable and at peace! It felt like it was what I was supposed to be doing. However, there was so much for me to learn. It was easy to do stand up in an area you know, with people you grew up with watching you. Its so easy to make your friends and family laugh, but it’s a different ball game once you leave home. The only way to learn the craft and the art of stand up comedy, I would say simply is TO GET ON STAGE! Get on every single stage that you can to work your jokes out. Getting on every stage helps you learn to read different audiences and also teaches you how to be more comfortable in front of different vibes.
There will be some obstacles that would be minor, just don’t sweat it! There will be times you will be turned down and you may get mad about it, but don’t. Just keep practicing and keep getting better and most importantly KEEP SHOWING UP!

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
How y’all doing! My name is Randi Skye and I am a stand-up comedian/content creator. Making people laugh and being happy is what I specialize in! If I can take you away from your problems if only for five minutes then I know my job has been fulfilled. This is a gift from God, and I truly enjoy spreading the love and laughs with others.
I moved to Atlanta from South Carolina a few years ago and was able to make a name for myself doing what I love in a very short period. Living a dream is hard work, especially in a new area where you don’t know anyone! I have have been consistently on stage and getting better at my craft, all while building a large social media following. Proud is an understatement when I look back on what all I have been through while pursuing this dream.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My goal is to make the world a more happier place. In such a dark time, it pleasures me to warm people up with laughter. I plan to get more involved in writing comedy and also acting. Planning to have a more outreach with my comedy across different platforms as well. Laughter is medicine and we all deserve it!

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Being a creative and taking a different path can be SUPER HARD! I think your talent is only about 75% of the journey. The rest is sacrifice, what are you willing to give up to become someone different? I have lost cars, homes, and everything else while pursuing this dream. You have to fight for things you want and some people don’t have that. You got to have grit to last in the entertainment industry.
