Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Randalyn Ladson. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Randalyn , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
I vividly remember the moment I realized my creativity wasn’t just a hobby, it was a calling. It was back in 2017, during a very personal season of transition. I was working in the beauty industry, helping clients feel more confident through traditional cosmetology services like waxing and brow shaping, but one day, I had a client who underwent a mastectomy. She came in, not for lashes or brows, or for a hairstyle, but just seeking normalcy. Something that could help her feel like herself again. I didn’t yet have the skills in paramedical tattooing, but that moment lit a fire in me, I saw how art could heal in ways beyond skin deep.
That experience made me pause and reflect on the purpose behind my work. I’ve always had a creative soul. I love color, symmetry, and transformation , but it was in that moment that I understood the true power of artistic expression. It wasn’t just about beauty. It was about restoration. It was about giving people parts of themselves back.
From that day on I knew I wanted to pursue a path to help through my gifts, as a healer through artistry. That’s how Allure Beyond Beauty began to evolve. From a traditional beauty business to a space where art meets compassion, especially for those who’ve battled illnesses like breast cancer. My creativity had finally found its mission, and I’ve been walking towards that purpose ever since.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
For those who may not have read about me before, here’s a little about who I am and how I got started:
My name is Randalyn, and I’m the founder of Allure Beyond Beauty a brand built at the intersection of artistry, compassion, and healing. I began my journey in the beauty industry over a decade ago, starting with cosmetology services. But as I grew both personally and professionally, so did my understanding of the deeper purpose behind my work.
My transition into paramedical tattooing was sparked by a powerful moment with a client who had survived breast cancer and a conversation with a peer. That experience shifted everything. I realized that beauty could do more than enhance, it could restore. It could empower. That realization led me to expand my skill set and reposition my business to serve a greater purpose.
The services I offer today are rooted in both beauty and transformation:
-3D Areola Restoration
– Scar Camouflage
-Stretch Mark Revision
-Corrective Cosmetic Tattooing
-Traditional beauty services like brow shaping and lash extensions, laser hair removal and more
I also collaborate with plastic surgeons and work with clients whose services may be funded by insurance, which allows me to bridge the gap between medical necessity and self-image recovery.
The problems I solve for my clients are deeply emotional and personal:
I work with individuals especially breast cancer survivors who are trying to reclaim a sense of normalcy after trauma. Whether it’s restoring the look of an areola after a mastectomy or camouflaging scars that serve as painful reminders of a past surgery, I help clients feel whole again. I also educate clients about their options, especially in communities that may not be aware these services exist or are covered by insurance.
What sets me apart is my approach:
I don’t just see clients I see people. I listen to their stories, I sit with their pain, and I work with intention. This isn’t just artistry to me it’s purpose-driven care. My work is trauma-informed, heart-led, and rooted in the belief that everyone deserves to feel beautiful, whole, and seen.
What I’m most proud of is how far the vision has come:
From a small beauty studio to a brand that’s now making a difference in the lives of survivors and those with visible scars, I’ve stayed true to the mission. I’ve also launched a nonprofit to provide transportation to surgery appointments, teach young people about this career path, and make these services more accessible to underserved communities.
What I want potential clients or fans to know about my brand is simple:
Allure Beyond Beauty is more than a business, it’s a sanctuary. It’s a place where art meets healing, where beauty is redefined, and where every service is done with integrity, compassion, and excellence. If you’re looking for someone who truly understands the emotional side of beauty and who treats every detail like it matters you’re in the right place.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
One of the biggest lessons I had to unlearn was the belief that I had to do everything on my own to be successful—that asking for help was a sign of weakness. For a long time, I wore my independence like a badge of honor. I built my business from the ground up, took care of my clients, handled every detail, and made sure things were “perfect” by doing it all myself. It was a survival mindset, and it served me for a while… until it didn’t.
The turning point came when I began expanding Allure Beyond Beauty into the paramedical space. The emotional weight of working with survivors, coupled with the pressure of growing a purpose-driven brand, started to take a toll. I realized I wasn’t just running a business—I was holding space for people’s healing journeys. That required more than just skill; it required support, collaboration, and boundaries.
I had to unlearn the idea that strength means doing it all alone. I had to learn how to delegate, how to trust others with my vision, and most importantly, how to receive—whether it was help, advice, or rest. And the truth is, once I allowed myself to let go of that lone-wolf mentality, my business grew, my mission deepened, and I became a better artist, leader, and woman.
That lesson changed everything for me. Because real strength isn’t about carrying the weight alone—it’s about knowing when to share it.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
For me, the most rewarding aspect of being an artist is the ability to help people feel seen, whole, and beautiful in their own skin—especially after they’ve experienced trauma or loss.
Every time I complete a 3D areola restoration or camouflage a scar, I’m not just creating art—I’m helping someone reclaim a piece of themselves. I get to witness that moment when a client looks in the mirror and sees themselves again, not just the physical transformation, but the emotional release that comes with it. That’s something I never take for granted.
My artistry isn’t about perfection—it’s about purpose. It’s about healing. It’s about telling someone, without saying a word, you are still beautiful, you are still whole, and you are still worthy.
To use my creativity in such a meaningful way… that’s the kind of reward money can’t buy. It fills my soul. And that’s why I do what I do.
