We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Ramon Alejandro Urdaneta. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Ramon Alejandro below.
Ramon Alejandro, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Have you been able to earn a full-time living from your creative work? If so, can you walk us through your journey and how you made it happen? Was it like that from day one? If not, what were some of the major steps and milestones and do you think you could have sped up the process somehow knowing what you know now?
Yes, I’ve been able to make a full-time living from my creative work — but it wasn’t that way from the start. Back in Venezuela, I worked mostly in marketing and visual communication, creating campaigns and content for local brands. That phase shaped my understanding of how ideas and emotions connect with people, and how strategy can elevate creativity.
When I moved to the United States, I had to rebuild everything from the ground up — new culture, new market, new opportunities. I started with small projects, blending my marketing background with my growing passion for filmmaking. Over time, that combination evolved into Wolf Eye Films, and later Wolf Eye Agency, where we merge cinematic storytelling with multicultural marketing.
Today, I lead a full-time creative team producing commercials, short films, and brand stories for clients like Coca-Cola, McDonald’s, Rocket Mortgage, Duracell, NASCAR, and many more.
Was it like this from day one? Definitely not. It took years of consistency, reinvention, and learning that creativity is not just art — it’s also structure, business, and vision. Winning 9 Emmy® Awards and 12 Telly® Awards were milestones that validated that journey and opened new doors.
Could I have sped up the process? Maybe, if I had realized earlier how crucial branding, networking, and self-positioning are. Talent gets you noticed, but systems and relationships build longevity.
Today, I can say I live entirely from my art — but even more meaningful is knowing that my art now lives through the people and brands we inspire.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m a filmmaker, producer, and creative entrepreneur originally from Venezuela, now based in Atlanta, Georgia. My journey didn’t start in film — it began in marketing and visual communication, where I discovered how powerful storytelling can be when emotion and strategy work together. That foundation became the backbone of everything I do today in the creative world.
When I moved to the United States, I started from scratch — one project at a time — until I built what is now Wolf Eye Films, a cinematic production company, and Wolf Eye Agency, its creative marketing arm. Together, they bridge storytelling and strategy, producing commercials, documentaries, branded films, and multicultural campaigns that connect deeply with audiences.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of leading productions and campaigns for global brands like Coca-Cola, McDonald’s, Rocket Mortgage, Duracell, NASCAR, Walgreens, and many others. I’ve also had the honor of collaborating with incredible directors, producers, and actors such as Steve Harvey and Oliver Diego Silva, who plays Young Clark Kent in the upcoming Superman 2025 film, among other talented industry figures.
What truly sets my work apart is our cinematic approach to brand communication — we don’t just sell products; we tell human stories that inspire connection and trust. At Wolf Eye, we focus on transforming a brand’s message into an emotional experience. Whether it’s a national commercial, a short documentary, or a multicultural digital campaign, our goal is always the same: to create impact — visually, emotionally, and strategically.
I’m proud to have received 9 Emmy® Awards, 12 Telly® Awards, and multiple international recognitions for direction and storytelling. But more than the awards, what I’m most proud of is building a creative ecosystem where talent, culture, and purpose meet.
If there’s one thing I want people to know about me and my work, it’s this:
I believe in stories that move people — not just visually, but emotionally. My mission is to create content that doesn’t just look beautiful, but that means something — work that elevates how brands and audiences connect with one another.

Can you open up about how you funded your business?
When I first started, there was no big investor or financial safety net — just passion, persistence, and a camera. Every piece of equipment I bought came from reinvesting what I earned from my earliest projects. I learned to build slow and steady, focusing on value over volume.
Eventually, my small freelance work evolved into Wolf Eye Films, and later into Wolf Eye Agency. Instead of chasing funding, I focused on building credibility — delivering exceptional results that organically attracted bigger clients and opportunities.
It’s not an easy path, but I believe that when your foundation is built on creativity, discipline, and integrity, your work becomes your best investor. Every lens, every light, every upgrade represents years of vision, not just capital.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
For me, the most rewarding part of being a creative is seeing an idea come to life — something that once existed only in your mind suddenly becomes a story that moves people.
I’ve always believed that storytelling has the power to connect, heal, and inspire. Whether it’s a commercial that sparks emotion or a short film that challenges perspectives, those moments when people feel something real — that’s the true reward.
It’s not about fame or applause; it’s about impact. When your work resonates with someone — when they see themselves in your story — that’s when creativity becomes purpose.
