We were lucky to catch up with Ramiro Bruzzese recently and have shared our conversation below.
Ramiro , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
In my opinion, to be successful is not about how much money you make, how many followers you have or how much power you have over others.
I think success is about being content with what you have, having a sense of purpose in life, and being able to enjoy the simple things.
For me, success is about being surrounded by people you love, and making a positive impact in the world.
I don’t think success is measured by material possessions, but by the happiness and well-being of those around you.

Ramiro , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Since my father is an advertising director, I grew up on film sets from a very young age, and that’s how I became familiar with the audiovisual world. I developed a great love for music and photography from a young age (I still remember the first click with an automatic Mickey Mouse film camera). Later on, I began to explore the world of video, making my first edits, and that’s how I discovered this world that combined these two passions and became my life.
One of the things that fascinates me the most about being a filmmaker and photographer is that it allows me to always work on different types of projects in different countries with different people, which makes it very dynamic and enriching. I never get bored.
I shot content for different brands and institutions, and a few years ago I devoted myself strongly to shooting and portraying artists in different parts of the world.
The main thing I try to solve with my work for my clients is to help them become visible and stand out in a world where immediacy and disposability prevail, especially in the social media – I usually get very involved in my clients’ projects.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
For me, the most rewarding aspect of being an artist or creative is the ability to tell stories through a visual medium. Currently, I am traveling through Mexico and working on a personal photography project capturing and portraying the communities and popular Mexican culture.
It’s a privilege for me to be able through my work to connect with artists and if possible to inspire viewers.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
My work consists of two different stages: Shooting and post-production.
The arrival of COVID-19 brought many serious health consequences and when the quarantine started we could no longer go out to shoot in the streets. Shootings were cancelled, and the projects that we had lined up came to a halt overnight.
During this time, my work shifted much more towards editing, post-production and photography. But above all, it was a moment to connect with people in different parts of the world – who were going through the same situation and had different needs – and to start working with them. From editing a music videoclip for a director in Germany to editing live music streaming and generating content that people could consume during those difficult times.
