We recently connected with Ramencoke and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Ramencoke , thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
Your involvement in the creation of music is always viewed as risky. Every choice you make, including who you collaborate with, where you release your beats, and how your image is presented, contributes to the risk factor. Producers take risks literally in order to enter the music business.
What strikes out is edginess with a dash of something fresh or unfamiliar-familiar!
I enjoy attempting novel and daring things. I feel like I’ve ingrained and absorbed what it means to be an artist as my interaction with emerging artists grows .I’m no longer afraid to take new risks as long as it brings me closer to my vision !

Ramencoke , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Absolutely!
So my name is Ramencoke and I am a Music Producer / Artist based out of Vancouver , Canada . I’ve engineered and produced for many emerging artists from the same city and assisting the artists and myself with a new futuristic and bouncy sound !
It really doesn’t matter what genre is thrown at me – I somehow tend to make it sound like me .. my sound.
The other day , one of my friend asked me ..how would you describe your sound ?
One of my artists ( who is also a close friend of mine ) Vrtigo ecstatically jumped in saying “ I would describe it as futuristic , bouncy , tropical and catchy”
I guess .. I’ll take his word for it !
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
Actually, I’m constantly learning and unlearning new things. The amount of technical knowledge that has been lost in the music industry as a result of it not supporting the contemporary methods of producing or consuming music astounds me every day.
Recently, my attention has been focused on learning to trust my feelings and intuition, especially when I’m producing for an artist or myself.
You are typically pushing outside of the “learned” zone when you are trying to push the boundaries.
It’s the best feeling when the artist leaves the room listening to that same mix we did in an hour and locks in 50. Examples of applying what I’ve learned with record engineering artists and then adding unconventional plugins and routing methods to make them standout has been working wonders for me.
When an artist leaves the room after listening to the same mix we produced in one hour and locks in 50 hours of listening to the music, it is the nicest feeling to know that they left the room thinking they have created something extraordinary ! I’m glad I could assist the artist in finding their new persona and confidence !

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
It’s really difficult for me to say ,but if I must, I’ll say ….I believe my music has a unique sound that recreates the feeling of capturing a moment in time.
