We recently connected with Rambo and have shared our conversation below.
Rambo, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Do you wish you had waited to pursue your creative career or do you wish you had started sooner?
One of the biggest changes I would make to my creative career would be starting sooner. I wish I would’ve had the chance to create when I was in college and push my brand around the campus. There was so many opportunities that I missed because I didn’t know the ability I had or what the outside perception would be of my music. I should have taken the leap sooner.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Rambo, born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, has been working in the music industry since the middle of the pandemic. I started out just making music just to put out and see what the reaction was but after a bunch of positive responses, I began to shoot music videos and prepare merchandise for the brand. Also, I started to prepare to make a label for artist that I know deserve to be on a bigger stage.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
As of the end of 2022, I have made a pivot to become more of a songwriter. I have been tasked to write for a plethora of artist in many genres and I have used this opportunity to expand my reach with my music. The pivot was swallowing my pride to know that I do not have to be in the spotlight all the time and seeing that I have a talent that other people wanted to used. Creating music for the next artist gives me the ability to step outside my comfort zone and break barriers sonically that I might not be able to do myself.

How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
If people you call friends, do not share your project, then you should find some new ones. I believe that goes for society as well because we have this thing that we do where if we find something that we care about, we gate keep it as long as we can. On the other hand, we need to see the people that we value as artist in the biggest arena they can possibly be in. Growth on all of these social platforms is what helps artist gain more fans
