The transformative chapter of my life started unexpectedly when a distinctive opportunity presented itself—an invitation to assume the roles of fractional CTO and CPO for a well-established tech enterprise. While already engaged as a tech executive, the CEO approached me, requesting my assistance for a few hours each week. Little did I anticipate the profound impact this seemingly small commitment would have on my journey, altering its course irrevocably.
During my time as a fractional executive, I gained invaluable insights into the inner workings of diverse companies. The path to establishing and operating Delence has been a journey filled with hurdles and valuable lessons. From the outset, one of our primary challenges was building a solid reputation. As pioneers in the field of fractional CTO/CPO services, we faced the task of educating potential clients about the unique value proposition we offered. The concept was relatively unknown, requiring persistent efforts to earn trust and convince businesses to entrust us with their operations. However, we persevered and surmounted this obstacle by consistently delivering exceptional results.
As our company expanded, we encountered new challenges associated with scaling our services without compromising the quality and personalized approach that defined our brand. Sustaining our high standards while accommodating growth demanded careful planning and resource allocation.

A burgeoning health-tech startup had enlisted my Fractional CTO/CPO services to help streamline their technology strategy. The startup was on the brink of launching a groundbreaking wearable device to monitor patients’ vital statistics in real-time, but they were facing software integration issues with hospitals’ systems.
During the initial discussions, I observed that the CEO mentioned multiple times how they were inspired to start the company after his mother faced health issues and couldn’t get real-time care when it was crucial. The CEO wished that the wearable could have a special feature to cater to elderly patients, but given the tight launch timeline and budget constraints, it was shelved for a future release.
Recognizing the emotional significance behind the CEO’s wish, I decided to act. Outside of their contractual obligations and without additional costs, I worked with a small team that I personally funded to develop a prototype of the elderly care feature. This feature would allow caregivers and family members to get real-time updates and alerts, ensuring an extra layer of care and peace of mind.
On the CEO’s birthday, I organized a presentation, unveiling the surprise feature. The CEO was deeply moved, both by the personal significance of the gift and the unexpected value added to the product. This gesture cemented the relationship between the startup and Delence. Not only did the startup decide to integrate the feature into the main product, but word of mouth about Delence’s dedication and customer-centric approach led to numerous referrals.
