Hi Rajiv, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear about one of the craziest things you’ve experienced in your journey so far.

An executive in transition who was expecting to start her new C-suite job after accepting the dream offer from her dream company in her dream role was shocked when her executive recruiter informed her that the company had retracted the offer and had ‘gone in a different direction’. Upon further investigation she was informed that the company thought she was a criminal and since this was a very high level C-Suite hire, they did not want to take the risk of reputational blowback. Needless to say the executive was extremely shocked to hear this. What shocked her even more was when she googled herself and to her horror saw what the executive recruiter had shared with her. She saw someone that looked like her who had her the same first name as her who appeared right at the top of her Google search and this person has a criminal background. Even though this was a case of mistaken identity the company did not want to risk any reputational damage. The executive recruiter advised her to contact rsquare media since he had heard that resolving reputational crisis was their unique operational focus. As advised the executive reached out to us and upon further investigation we estimated a standard 120 day turn around time. To our surprise we were able to deliver a very fast favorable outcome within two weeks. This enabled the executive recruiter to contact the company and reverse their decision. The executive was ultimately hired and Rsquare Media was able to salvage her career. This was especially noteworthy because the executive was in the job market for the last nine months and it would have been an uphill battle to get another offer with this misinformation floating on Google for everyone to see.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I helped Unilever get into the Guinness Book of records, when I was Media Director at Mindshare in Mumbai. I created their most successful and innovative marketing campaign till date. The national campaign was so successful that it soldout the product nationally in retail and wholesale twice back-to-back in India. This was achieved despite it being an extremely crowded product category as well as being a niche product (Lipton Green Tea). What ultimately got Unilever into the Guinness Book of records was the creation of the world’s largest online collaborative jigsaw puzzle which at the height of the campaign had 300,000 active users.

Given the media habits of the target audience at the time, this solution was most inclusive and would capture and engage the widest group of customers ranging from 18-35, 35-55, 55+ age groups
Outcome:
The Product Sold Out in Retail and Wholesale Nationally in India, twice, back to back – two months in a row. Something that has never happened before in the Hot Beverage Product Category nor in any category offered by the Fortune 500 Global CPG/FMCG company

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

Hence, the Assassin moniker, since I assassinate Scandal and anything bad from Google (Online Reputation Management). Clients remember something catchy like this.
