We were lucky to catch up with Raïna Mahautière recently and have shared our conversation below.
Raïna, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What do you think it takes to be successful?
As you might know to be successful you need to be disciplined because you might get motivated for a while when things are great but when they aren’t anymore it’s discipline that’ll get you moving toward your goals. You also need to be ambitious and bold to start doing,making,creating something that you may not have the resources for, however where there’s a will there’s a way.
Raïna, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m a young black woman that isn’t scared to get out of her comfort zone and that is willing to make the step that others are scared to take. Not long ago I created with my partner a marketing agency that is called : MM Agency. In this agency we provide tools and help for buisness owners (small or big) to grow their social media. As a gen-z company we use the asset of age to make our clients meet their full potential on social media because our generation is the futur. We care about each of our clients and we make sure to provide a professional assistance to what matters the most for them.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
I’d say that I had to pivot when I first pre-launched my agency. We totally changed our vision because what we’d planned was not meeting our vision. We then changed our logo our way of functioning and more. We are now on the right path and we think that it is way more appropriate to who we are.
Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
It makes me think further, it helps me take actions because it makes me think : “ok, if I had more money what would I do.” “How can I get to that money instead of waiting for it”
