We were lucky to catch up with Rahma Majid recently and have shared our conversation below.
Rahma, appreciate you joining us today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I came up with the idea of making content at a very young age I use to sit around and make YouTube videos that are probably still up on there and think I was going to be famous one day. Modeling kind of came in to the picture a little bit later I was always really confident growing up and I would love getting my picture taken but then I started getting bullied and that made me forget about my love for not only myself but photography and pictures altogether but family never stopped telling me that a should start modeling professionally and that they believed I would make it in the industry so in 2023 I took the leap and decided to start.

Rahma, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
For those who don’t know me Hi my name is Rahma and I’m a 19 year old Model, Content Creator and Student I’ve been modeling professionally for almost a year and I’ve got a long way to go. I started modeling in 2023 and I started through a Model Development School called Corella&Co I love them so much and if it wasn’t for them I don’t think I’d be this far into my career. I started modeling not only for myself but for everyone who’s been told that they’re not pretty enough, light enough, or tall enough I started for Sisters so I can show them that no matter how big your goals are that as long as you put your mind to it and try your best that nothing is impossible. I’m also hoping to build my social media presence with my fashion, lifestyle and modeling content. Thing I think people should know about me are I’m hardworking and determined and I always stand my ground when it come to things I believe in like people rights and equality.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Something that’s happened to me that illustrates my resilience is being born with no eyebrows it’s such a big part of me and it’s made me who I am today it make me stand out and it reminds me of how much I’ve grown. Growing up I didn’t really want to embrace that I was bullied for it and was made to feel like an outcast so I started to hide it and wear makeup but I started to realize that people were always gonna have an opinion so it’s up to me how much power I give it so now I try my best to always embrace it because it’s who I am and I have people who look up to me and I wouldn’t want them to feel like they needed to hide or change a piece of themselves because people couldn’t understand it or appreciate it for what it’s for. ( Shout out to my aunt Zuzu who helped me achieve this level of confidence and resilience if It wasn’t for you and your patience, love and nurturing I don’t know where I would be to today and for that I’m forever grateful. :)

How did you build your audience on social media?
I have recently found and middle ground on maintaining my social media presence and hopefully growing it for a long time I was stuck at 300 and now I just passed 700 which might seem small but for me that’s a big accomplishment. Some advice I would give is post consistently maybe 2-3 times a week and around the same time each time to help your algorithm try different content and see what works for you and your audience or the audience you’re trying to reach. Don’t give up and keep trying you might think one follower a day is nothing but even if you get one follower a day and there’s 365 days in a year you would have grown 365 followers in a year just stay consistent and don’t feel discouraged when reach a dry spout.
